  • Great general purpose blade
For general cutting the price of this blade can’t be beat. Handles plywood very nicely with no tear out. Handles ripping of poplar very well with no burning. Begins to burn on ripping with maple but that’s to be expected as this isn’t a ripping blade.

  • A fine blade at a very good price
This blade cuts very well for its price. It cuts as well as some 60 tooth blades I have used. And I know it's compatible with my SawStop saw. So far my experience with all the SawStop products I have purchased has been excellent. (I love my saw - 1.75 hp cabinet. It's the nicest power tool I have ever owned or used - precise, nicely thought out, ...) ... show more

  • Replaced a break activation.
No, my fingers weren’t close. I believe my Inca 1000HD aluminum activated it. Not even a hint of a scratch, but I was ripping a 45 bevel. I thought I had clearance..... the miter gage now lives right of the left tilting arbor. I’m getting used to it. Oh, the blade! Excellent cuts though I think I have to get a rip blade to make my bridal joints. Spent an hour flattening cross grain with a quarter inch chisel. My wife was happier that my wrists. ... show more

  • Sawstop Blade
Bought this to replace the one that came with the saw. I had two brake cartridges go off with another brand of blades and figured that it would be safer to use the SawStop blade. It cuts cleanly even in really hard woods. I usually have a thin kerf blade on the saw which makes cutting hard woods easier, but this blade still gets the job done. I sent the original blade out for re-sharpening and will be rotating between the two blades. Good product that I would not hesitate to recommend and a good value. Cuts almost as good as the premium blades for about one third less in cost. ... show more

  • Mid-Grade Blade Ensures Mid-Grade Performance.
Owning this blade generally suggests that you bought a fairly expensive saw.....the blade you put on that saw is basically where the rubber meets the road, and will ultimately determine how well your expensive saw performs. Don't be penny wise and pound foolish in this situation....it's a small percentage of the overall cost of the saw to ensure it performs to it's full potential. You don't need to spend $100+ on a good blade if you know to look for, but you can and should do better than this one. For more money, Saw Stop is willing to sell you a better blade....their "Titanium" series. Ridge Carbide, Tenryu, Infinity, Forrest, Amana, Freud Premier, CMT Industrial, Guhdo, Popular Tools, Leitz, and others all have great choices. It's hard to find a consumer grade table saw made outside of Asia due to the cost advantages of making them there, but the vast majority of higher quality precision blades are made in the US, UK, Germany, EU, Italy, Israel, Canada, or Japan. This Saw Stop blade has small chips of cheaply brazed carbide on generic stamped steel, and is made in China to reduce cost. Compare it to a Workforce, Skil, Vermont America, Oldham contractor blade, or Avanti that all sell under $20. They'll cut ok for a while, but are basically mid-grade blades like most others at the home centers. Compare that to top grade German steel, massive C4 carbide that's tri-brazed with silver flux and sharpened with 600 grit, tensioned and balanced to within 0.001" of perfectly flat, has laser cut anti-vibration slots, and is made by state of the art computerized machines. I realize I may have ruffled some tail feathers with this review, but you've come this far to get a really nice saw, now finish the final setup and do it right. ... show more

  • Allows you to use riving knife.
Works with the riving knife that comes with the saw. Other blades are too thin.
