I can't say enough about this Cintika Set of 4 Acacia wooden bowl set. Handmade calabash bowl, Square small wooden bowl set for nuts, and small snacks. The four times four times 1.1 wooden bowls are just phenomenally adorable. I can't describe how cute they are. Upon first seeing them I thought maybe they were the size of a typical cereal bowl because there wasn't really much of a comparison. But I knew from the sauces and dips going in there that it was going to be relatively smaller and this is absolutely perfect for dips or some snacks, maybe some little pretzels or some nuts. They just fit the mood right. You feel like you're going out for a night with some popcorn and peanuts and a couple of brewskies with your friends, lol. These absolutely are wonderful for your table or any situation for that matter. They're very portable, lightweight, and durable with their freshly stained wooden shine and not to mention the handcraft designs that you can see on the natural wood itself. Absolutely amazing. This set of 4 acacia wood bowls is very well made. I like the shape of the bowls, as well as the variation in wood patterns. Two of the bowls are slightly more 'orange' than the other two bowls, which are slightly darker brown. I am okay with this variation. The bottom of the bowls is smooth, so they sit perfectly flat on a table and don't wobble. I think the overall craftsmanship is very nice. The wood is very smooth with no rough spots. I'm very happy that the manufacturer's name is not branded into the bowl! I have other wood bowls that do, and it really distracts from the overall look of the bowl. We entertain friends and family at our house a lot and I often make charcuterie boards or butter boards for our get-togethers. These bowls are going to work very well for us, especially when paired with our other acacia wood trays, platters, and plates. The price is also affordable. I do recommend this set.

I'm a hobby woodworker and appreciate just about any wood I come across - especially one as unique as Acacia. Seeing these beautiful hand-made bowls makes me want to move to the Philippines just to be able to work with it! It is obvious that these really are hand-made as each bowl is a slightly different size. I don't know why the listing says "pistachio bowl" because you can use these for a lot more than nuts! Saying they are a "calabash" bowl is also inaccurate (unless you have tiny quests!) - calabash = large serving bowl. I cannot find anything negative to say about these, and certainly the beautiful wood will negate and negatives. :-) These will be displayed on my coffee table in my living room - right alongside my acacia charcuterie board! It would have been nice to have bought them from the woodworker who made them - to have a story to go with them, maybe for my next set of Acacia bowls!
