I ordered this to avoid a plastic reamer against the fruit. But it does have some problems: 1) The heavy handle tends to fall down suddenly and can cause minor injury; 2) It presses down but doesn't ream the fruit, and without a reamer, you can't get any of the pulp (if you like that); 3) A small cap inside the half-sphere press keeps popping off; 4) it doesn't remove quite as much juice as a reamer would; 5) if the surface it is on is wet, the whole heavy apparatus can slide off. ... show more

I have squeezed several dozen citrus fruits over the three weeks that I have owned this press. It works very well, it is stable when used with two hands, and is relatively lightweight (10 lbs. 10 ozs. / 4.82 kilos). The inverted cone that pushes on the top of the fruit can be removed for "extra" cleaning (requires large flat-head screwdriver). See photos.
