When I first received this Cicy Bell cardigan, I was a bit shook by the colors. I ordered the “coffee” colorway because I thought the stripes were black and white with coffee-colored trim. They are actually mint green and dark brown, with light brown trim. That was not what I was expecting, and honestly, I was not crazy about it at first. Then I touched it. This knit is unbelievably soft. Soft enough that I immediately stopped caring what color it was. I would probably wear this sweater if it were lime green, fuchsia, and neon yellow. It feels warm, comforting, and almost blanket-like without being heavy. I can’t find the words to describe exactly how luxuriously soft this sweater is! The colors have grown on me too. The mint green, dark brown, and light brown combination reminds me of a mint chocolate chip ice cream cone, so I now call it my ice cream sweater. It is a little funky, but in a way I have come to really like. The fit is generously oversized. For reference, I am 5’3” tall, weigh 144 lbs, and ordered a medium. I would not want it any smaller. The roomy fit combined with how soft it is makes this an absolute dream to wear. It has become my new favorite sweater, and I wear it nearly every day around the house because my partner keeps the air conditioning so darn cold. The listed price at the time of my review is $49.99. Normally, I would consider that on the high side in terms of value for a casual cardigan. This one is worth every single penny and I want it in every colorway.

I ordered my usual size medium, and the fit is exactly what I was hoping for. It's comfortably oversized without looking sloppy, and it's still easy to layer over a t-shirt or tank. The pink is really pretty, and I love the little mother-of-pearl buttons. They give it just enough detail without being over the top. This is definitely not a lightweight cardigan. It's thick, cozy, and would be perfect for a cold office or cooler weather. It also feels incredibly soft, although it has that acrylic kind of softness, if you know what I mean. My only hesitation is the price. At around $50, I really wish it included at least some natural fibers instead of being mostly acrylic. Overall, I really like the fit and style, and I've already worn it several times.

I ordered the Cicy Bell Striped Cardigan in “black and red” as it’s labeled, but to be clear, it’s really burgundy and not red… my attached photos show this. I chose this combination to wear with all my black and grey pants, as opposed to the other color combinations which struck me more like baby blanket colors! Being more of a classic-color dresser, I gravitate towards basic color combinations. Having said that, I ordered the size large (5’3” and 155#) and thankfully it’s just right. It’s not too large or oversized in the least, but it has the fit I wanted as a sweater to layer over other tops. It feels ultra-soft and cozy on, and not only will I wear it for walks on cool evenings, but also while watching TV in a chilly room (for instance) … The basic colors work with much of my wardrobe, so it’s a nicely versatile piece to grab for additional warmth. The fabric content is 74% acrylic, 22% polyester and 4% elastane, and hopefully it will keep its nice look and not pill over time. But even if it does, the stripe pattern will conceal any pilling, which would be more obvious on a solid color. This cardigan feels nicely lightweight and doesn’t itch, due to the fabric content. It’s also very stretchy in a good way. The ad says this sweater is machine washable, another great feature. Overall, it’s a winner in all respects!

I ordered the oversized striped cardigan in the color grey and pink. It’s a beautiful cardigan and is a must have for fall and would also be a great cardigan for winter. This is not a lightweight cardigan….this is definitely for cool weather. I ordered a large which is the size I normally wear but I could have ordered a medium. If I wanted more of a fitted look, I could have ordered a small. So just be sure to check the exact measurements prior to ordering. To help I am 5’4” tall and weigh 167 lbs. Since I ordered my normal size large and while expecting it to be oversized, it was way oversized so I am only giving it 4 stars. If the size chart matches the item I received, I would be giving it 5 stars because I truly loved it! It has a wool feel but is not scratchy at all and is very soft and comfortable. It can be worn casually or dressed up. It’s versatile & will look great with jeans, leggings or dress pants. Overall, I highly recommend this cardigan but be mindful of the measurements.

The bottom Line: This sweater is soft, lightweight and warm. What I like: The sweater is extremely soft to the touch. It is lightweight yet warm and I love the colors. I love how the sleeves are bloused, but I wish the waistline did the same, as pictured on the product model. What to consider: The product is essentially fully synthetic, however, it resisted shrinking in the first wash and remained very soft. The weakness: The fabric did start to pill up a bit after one gentle wash and air dry. Overall, I like the sweater with some of the fit and durability slightly missing the mark.
