The designer does not seem to know what this is used for, modify to make work. There were 6 stiff wires clustered in a 1/4" diameter circle.(5 in a ring, and one in the center. Coffee would just clump in the wires, did not work at all. Grabbed my vice grips, pulled out all bur 2, wirks fine now. As delivered, it would get 1 star(for being pretty, but, completely useless) but, gets 5 stars after modification, so, the average is 3 stars. ... show more

Looks ok, feels ok, but doesn’t work as it ships. The needles are way too thick, protrude way too tight and straight together, and trap clumps of coffee in between the pins. Bending the middle pin out of the way helped a bit but still awfully clumpy espresso.

Works better than the other tools with sharp pointed pins. The pins do not get stuck in the tiny holes of the portafilter cup. There was a sharp edge on the outside edge of the brass ring & the inside of the wood container was not clean. It may have been the wood stain or ??.
