Really happy with the quality and fit of this seat protector. Fits our Jeep Cherokee perfectly. Installed in minutes. Our 75lb labradoodle hopped in and laid right down for her first trip. She seemed quite comfortable and at ease. No more competing with cargo in the back. Love the mesh panel allowing good air flow and sight lines for both her and us. Very well constructed and seems like it will hold up well. Took it out of the package and laid it out the night before to dissipate vinyl/plastic odor. Completely gone by morning and no odor in the car after install. The price is a bargain for this product. There are many more out there at a much higher price. I had an older hammock style dog car cover for the back seat. It was ok but seemed messy and was getting older. Sometimes my dog would get under the hammock itself but on the seat which kinda defeats the purpose of having a cover. I wanted something more solid, so I looked at the hard bottomed ones. This one seemed to say all the right things to me. I cannot remember if it said if it was non-slick or not, but it is slick. I read where someone else (maybe on a different product) put down a yoga mat and that's what we did. We certainly weren't using that yoga mat. That works great. We took our active 45LB dog on a 6-hour roundtrip with the new cover. It held up well. I do leave it in the back so we can take our dog whenever around town. Even though it was easy to install, I don't want to every single time! I saw where many of the flat-bottomed ones would break where there is no seat, but this one has not so far. I did not rate the "Easy to Clean" area yet because I have not cleaned it yet. It seems to be made of the same material as out other and I just would wash it down with a hose. The hard bottomed flat part up against the back of our seats is pretty darn snug and it covers the back seat vent for heating and cooling. Turn your vents to up and over because the dog will need it. Our dog didn't say anything about the temperature so maybe she won't notice. She did thank us for the new and more comfortable seat cover though. ... show more

This is amazing. I bought 2, one for my Outback and Dodge Ram truck. Sturdy and great coverage to protect the seats. As well the side pieces keep the dogs from constantly rolling down the windows! Only downside is the zipper where you insert the hard panels, is pretty wonky, I don't think it will last long but fortunately it won't affect the functionality of the item. ... show more

I've bought so many seat protectors its not even funny. They usually rip around the mesh sections or do not cover the whole seat. That is not the case for this protector. Now, I do put a sheet around my back seat as well because I have a white boxer that sheds like its her full time job and it flies around my car. Between her and the doberman slobbering, my poor back seat head rests are gross so the sheet covers them. This protects my seats from their nails. They cannot dig it up, move it around. It widens the back seat so it is more roomy for two large dogs. My girls can easily lay down and even spread out. I love the fact that it has sides that zip up so my doors are protected! The last one I had did not have sides and one of the dogs put a nail hole in the leather of the door handle. This protector keeps my doors safe from doggy nails. I love the way it looks. I also love how it folds up and has its own little storage bag. My last protector you had to roll up like a fitted sheet and shove it somewhere. This folds down into a perfect little flat square every time and takes up virtually no space in my trunk. I have not cleaned it. My boxers fur is like thread and it gets woven into everything! The mud is easy to wipe off but the dogs are not usually in our cars when muddy. I keep it in my car for and rarely take it out of the back seat. It is also great for groceries. Groceries may roll around but they are not going under my seat or falling out of the back door. Perfect for road trips, short trips, wherever! So easy to take in and out. I just leave it until my human friends need a ride, lol. Pros: *Perfect fit for my SUV, the color flows well with the exterior of my car. * All for sides stay in place with very little sagging. They are adjustable to fit your desired stiffness. They don’t have bar support for the top side walls. Not sure if I would want that anyway. * Bottom is waterproof. * Has screen mesh for A/C vent flow to the back. * Has a pocket, perfect for holding leashes. * Zippers for the sides are great for releasing the hounds. Alison when up they keep my crafty little friends from rolling down the windows (left it down once and yes that happened) * Very sturdy bottom that extends out making more space. My medium sized pooch sits there the whole time. Cons: *Since the bottom is waterproof and a thin harder surface, your pups WILL slide around! Get the pillow top or make your own with 1-2 inch memory foam from Walmart and cover with the fuzzy material. * I do wish it had adjustable seating, ( lowering one side for passengers) but I think that would compromise the sturdiness. FYI - The truck we put this in is a 2019 Toyota Tundra Crew Cab. I bought the longer, wider version because the truck is much wider than a car but there were some issues with sizing so read below on house I fixed it for our 85 pound shepherd/GR mix. First, the plastic at the bottom is not one full sheet. It is broken up into 8 pieces, 2 sets of 4 that are different sizes. You slide them in from each side of the bottom panel to form a bottom base. For people saying their dogs "broke" it or it "folded", of course it did, they are not one full piece. Once the pieces are slid into place into their pockets, you zip it up on each long side and then begin the install. Once I laid it out in the truck, it was obvious it was huge and much too big for my back seat (my fault, I bought it in bed late one night and was in a hurry to get something, so I didn't take the time to measure). So I fixed that by only using the wider of the 2 different sizes of panels. I put that length of panels along the bench seat and put the other smaller panels up the back of the bench seat, making a stiff back. I shortened the hanging straps considerably when I attached them to my head guards and then strapped up the front to the front seats. It provides a stiffer back for her, as I mentioned, but honestly, she hasn't minded at all, and she now rides for hours without moving much at all. We did do the yoga mat trick, as listed in other comments, because the material of this hammock is not anti-slip and my dog is old. I don't want her having to grip and hurt herself in the process. We do have excess material on each end because of the area we had to fold up over the back of the seat, so I just neatly fold it it down by the door once we zip the end up flaps up for travel. It is black so it looked nice against the black interior, but she has long fur and is a heavy shedder, so now it looks like my dog should be bald because of all the windblown fur it has lining it. It keeps the dog in place, which was great, but I wasn't happy there is no way to attach a leash or a harness to the truck seat belts. So protection for the dog itself is not great, which is why I didn't give it even 4 stars. I am not sure it was worth what I paid for it, being that I had to modify it and that is lacking any way to secure her back there, but for now, it's a cover and I will keep using it. Personally, I think it should be $20 cheaper than it is, now that I have assembled it and installed it. I would say it is over-priced. The only issue I have is that ... show more

Works SO good for my two large dogs. Having a golden retriever and a black lab my girls shed A LOT! This saves my seats so much from their nail stretches on my seats and protects the seats from all their hair. The ONLY thing I’m not a fan of is, if there’s a passenger it doesn’t really fold on one side so the passenger can sit on the sheet of the car, BUT there is Velcro holes where the buckles are that a passenger can use while they also sit on the seat cover. It does have a vent/mesh in the middle of it so your animal(s) can still see you and comes in handy when you have a backseat AC unit so it still blows on them. There’s also a gap between the arm rest of the front seat to the back floor board so you can place things there and reach them. I do recommend this product! ... show more
