Bought these for 2 rooms in our new house that had no blinds or curtains. Our AC does its best but it gets hot upstairs! These have definitely helped keep the sun and heat out! When hung with blinds I could see them being full blackout, but they still let bits of light through if they are the only thing covering the window. They are dark and heavy duty though and a good purchase for the price!

Purchased for temporary thermal panel for south facing windows. Kept room temperature down to 74 degrees daytime with outside temp at 88. Not a complete blackout curtain, which is good. These bedrooms usually reach 79 to 81 degrees in summer with outside temps from 85 to 105. This is without turning on our AC. Other reviews were right on the mark. Not for style, but stellar for glare and heat reduction function. Game changer. Highly recommend!!!
