These blackout/thermal curtains are even nicer than I anticipated! I purchased them to keep the cold out (and the coziness in) my bedroom, rather than to block the light. Even so, they block out most of the light but allow some of it to filter through, which I like. The texture of the curtains is soft and satiny. They have a nice weight without feeling heavy. The yellow hue is more mustard yellow; subdued yet cheerful. What I love is that the yellow is not on the inside only, but on the outside as well! The two yellow sides have a thermal layer between them, which should make up for the old, single glazed windows in my apartment. I can feel the difference already, and I am SO pleased!! They come well-packed and expertly folded with not a wrinkle in sight. I highly recommend them! ... show more

They do work well as black out curtains. The color is amazing looks just like the pictures. The curtain is thick enough to block out light but still thin enough that it doesn't weigh anything down while hanging on the rod or having to take it down to clean. I am planning on buying all sets for every bedroom in my house. Not sure if it is water resistant haven't run into that. The measurements I got was meant for my kitchen window which of course is smaller and it fits that window like a glove ... show more

I needed these to neutralize a draft coming in in the nook where my work desk is. I was all ready to buy a space heater since it was consistently chilly. Happy to say these curtains have neutralized the draft. Instead of being -6 degrees than the rest of the house it’s maybe -1 degree and I can be back here comfortably. The drawback is they block the sun but I am ok with it since we’re in winter anyway. Very pleased with the purchase and would like to buy more for my other outside facing rooms ... show more
