When we initially got this “bean” bag chair (foam-filled monstrosity), we were pretty disappointed. We even went ahead and requested a return, which Amazon customer service was helping to accommodate (you can’t really stuff this particular genie/sack of foam back into its bottle/compression bag). The sack seemed underfilled and generally underwhelming, and it did not appear to be filled with memory foam (just your standard, everyday foam). The cover also had some matted glue spots along one side, marring the pleasantly soft fur feel. However, after some back and forth with the seller, they sent along more foam and a new, glue-free cover. AND THEN, the battle of wills between me and the foam demon I affectionately dubbed FluffBeast 2020 began. So, the additional foam arrived in a compression bag, which I opened to reveal a giant plastic bag of (now rapidly expanding) shredded memory foam, complete with MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF TINY, STATICKY LINT FOAM. This thing. Exploded. All over my son’s room. I don’t entirely know what possessed me to try to wrangle the beast at 38wks pregnant, solo, on an 80-degree day, but there I was, with a giant plastic trash bag filled with foam bits, covered in foam lint, trying to figure out the best way to get said linty foam INTO the chill sack. I thought maybe I could stuff the whole bag into the sack and then cut it and remove the plastic while cleverly dumping the foam into the sack. ...I do not recommend this method. At least not solo (and definitely not when impaired by a beach-ball-sized baby bump). My husband suggested I use our canister vacuum and vacuum up the foam then dump it by canisterfuls into the sack. This immediately clogged the vacuum, but works when you’ve handled all the bigger chunks and are just left with the linty foam dust layer at the end. So, for the bigger chunks, I used the compression bag, zipped it up so it was only open at the top, scooped the foam into it, and then unzipped the sides and pulled out the bag. It took about 1.5hrs to get all the foam in there, including the time to vacuum up the lint and pick all the foam bits out of my son’s stuffed orangutan (I did find some foam clinging to his crocheted baby blanket the other day, though, ngl... it’s like the sand of the upholstery world... it just gets EVERYWHERE). Ultimately, though, despite the fact that my darling husband now thinks it’s overfilled (I told him he’s welcome to fix it himself but I’m not unzipping that thing ever again), I’m pretty pleased with it. Maybe it’s the fact that I put so much effort into bonding with my chill sack, or maybe it’s that I do find it really soft and squishy and pleasant to sit on, but I am quite pleased. And our toddler loves to be thrown directly into the center of our overstuffed, pill-bottle-shaped seating option in his room, so wins all around, IMO. Husband still thinks it’s lumpy and not really memory foam, so he gives it 3.5 stars. I think he just missed out on the quality time and hasn’t built up enough of a relationship with FluffBeast. On the merits of the chair itself: 3 stars for the actual chair, 4 stars for value, 5 stars for customer service, and OMG negative 25 stars for whatever the eff the restuffing process was because holy sh*t I’m actually concerned I inhaled some of that lint and it’s just taking up permanent residence in my lungs. Pans out to 3.5 stars IMO (only counting the first three and I hope you don’t have to add more stuffing to your own chairs) and I rounded up because the ultrafur cover is really soft and nice.

yeah, im in love with a bean bag! everyone that comes over, including dogs gravitate towards this. very very comfortable. also very easy to clean. i wish i had about 2 more of these around the house as the dog and or GF will often claim it when i leave the room, tho there is room on one of these for 2 normal size people and a dog, but i kinda just want one for myself!

When I bought this on Feb 1, 2021, most of the reviews were great, or showed great customer service. Now I see several reviews who must have bought theirs around the same time, all with the same issue I'm experiencing. It arrived a couple of days early. We followed the directions, even other review recommendations, to try to make sure it would fluff to its best potential. But what should be a long tube shape looks more like a flat round pancake. It is about 6" off the ground, and if you lay on it, you definitely hit the floor. The cover appears to be the right shape, just not nearly enough filling. Maybe half of what it should have. Obviously, it's expanded to a point it won't fit back into a box to ship it back. Otherwise, this looked very promising as we removed it from the box. The Chocolate Micro-suede removeable cover is definitely a chocolate brown, matching the images Amazon offers. The micro suede texture is soft, and seems well made. There is a very ample zipper opening for taking it off and putting it on. The inner lining is pre-stuffed with vacuum packed foam, wrapped in a large plastic bag, and then has an outer shipping bag that holds it into the shape of the box. If you have a sensitive nose or respiratory system, this does have an odor. It's not overpowering, and I can't smell it in the same room, but if I am rolling the bag and attempting to help it fluff, the chemical smell is quite noticeable next to it. We removed the outer shipping bag, set the plastic bag with the inner liner into the cover, then pulled the plastic bag off, and started to pull the inner fluff apart to help it expand. We 'rolled' the lounger every 20 minutes after zipping it up, and It seemed to be expanding at a great rate, until it just... stopped. UPDATE: We talked by phone with someone at Chill Sack. They say to give the sack a full 5 days to expand, for anyone else who worries about theirs. For us, 5 days still did not get it up to the size it should be, but instead of a 6" tall pancake, we did fluff to a 16" tall donut. We made another call to them, and after sending photos and order details, they agreed we are missing some stuffing and will be sending some out. Will update once it arrives (and expands). ***Fingers are crossed!***

The sack arrived compressed in a box. It takes a few days of fluffing and rotating the sack around to get it to fluff up to full size. Mine came a little bit underfilled where I could feel my butt touching the floor. Reaching out to the seller was very quick and efficient. They responded same day usually and sent me a box of extra foam within days. The only downside is that the shredded foam does have a very pungent chemical odor that goes away after a few days. Be sure to keep a window open during this degassing period to help with the smell. Docked a star because this isn't something that they tell you and if you're very sensitive to chemical smells like that, it could cause some breathing problems from the irritants.

We received this super cool foam bag yesterday and opened it up around 6:30 pm we did fluff it for couple of minutes to give the foam extra space to expand faster and it worked as you see on the pictures. My husband and I watched TV for 3 hours sitting on this beautiful foam bag, we both together weigh around 320lb, I fell asleep and slept through the night on this well made foam bag It is so comfy, and very well made. The cover is a great quality I can tell it’s made to last. this bag was professionally wrapped when it first arrived! and even the storage bag is a good quality that says on it discard it once you open it! The pictures were taken right now which is 8:00 am the next morning almost 14 hours since it was opened up. It’s expanding the way it’s supposed to! I absolutely recommend this product. PS: it’s a little heavy!

This has been a disappointment. I followed the directions, and visually I was impressed with the expansion. However, there is still a lot of excess room in the liner. When I sit or lay down, I’m practically on the floor. I tried various positions of the lounger, but there is no support. When I decided to unzip the liner to see if I can break up and or add more foam, I found the outer zipper broken. I was able to unzip the outer zipper only to find the inner zipper goes the same direction and cannot be accessed to unzip. So I can’t add more foam. Also, the cover I received is not even Chocolate; it’s tan. I don’t want to have to return this item, but I don’t know if I have any other options. I’ve contacted the manufacturer so will see what happens. Update: so the zipper is done that way to prevent children from opening it. Spouse was able to use a safety pin to get it open. Sounds like the company will be sending me extra foam. I’ll update again if/when that happens. I’ve added a star since the customer service department responded so quickly. More foam arrived and made all the difference. Really love the lounge chair now. Would have given it five stars except the hassle of filling with more foam.

Rating is a 2 for now because I intended a neutral 3 until I could actually use it but that smell is just bad. Opened today and have a couple concerns. First. Even unfluffed, this thing is huge and heavy. That's a good sign on day one I suppose. The concerns: 1. The smell. It's basically wet paint and bad. I'm guessing it's the memory foam because it gets stronger as i do the instructed roll and separate. I looked it up and ended up reading a page about bean bags with memory foam being toxic. Great. 45 minutes of rolling this heavy bag around and I'm hoping I didnt damage my brain from fumes. Shouldnt there be a Prop 65 warning with this? 2. Pieces of foam. Im not sure if there is a tear somewhere or if it's leftover from when the bag was filled? There was quite a few when i removed it from the first outer bag, then while trying to fluff it around. 3. Cant really open it There are two layers of zippers. The outer is as you'd expect but the inner has no piece to grab and unzip. Youd have to force it or somehow maneuver the bottom piece through the fabric. I felt some large foam pieces and also plasticky things that made me think of tape stuck to them. I wanted to open the bag and separate or tear the larger pieces more and see what's in this but I cant figure out how I'll get the inner zipper closed again if I do manage to open it. Going to lock this in a room with an air purifier and open window and hope we haven't inhaled too much toxic VOCs just for a chair.

10/10 - so now it's about half it's size that it used to be. That being said - it's a $200 bean bag. It's still held up really well - and I'd totally buy another one in a pinch. Okay - so we've had it for a couple months now - and it's been in HEAVY use - and the foam has started to not be as fluffy as it used to. This is expected...so I'm not surprised, but still a bit disappointed. It's not bad, but since I use it constantly - I can tell. Took off a star for that happening this soon. So...I read ALL the reviews for ALL these different type of memory foam bean bags. I do mean ALL of them. I decided to go with the Chill Bag in 6' gray furry plush. I'm not sorry. This thing is the shizznizzle. It's pretty big...but I have a big house. It's super comfortable - I actually prefer to sleep in it than my pillowtop bed. Which is sad....but true. It's about 3' - 3.5' high and about 3' width and 6' wide. When laying in it - my butt goes in first - so it's naturally the lowest point....but nowhere near the floor - I'm at least a foot off of it. It's sturdy - it rarely has a moment without someone in it...which includes our dogs. The cover isn't "furry" exactly - it's like a cheap faux fur - but it's okay. I'd prefer a furrier/fluffier cover - even if I had to pay more. It doesn't attract dog hair - which in this house - is pretty much a miracle. Once I got it out of the cube (on arrival) - I did what other people suggested - I pulled apart the foam to make it expand quicker. It was a giant pain in the butt - but within an hour, it was 3/4 of the way expanded. I kept flipping it over and over as I was tearing apart the foam. I also did it WITH the cover on!! I didn't have any hard pieces like some experienced. I do flip it over after every use - that way everyone has a new, happy bean bag to sit it - it's like it's brand new! Definitely worth the $175 paid....now - if it lasts over a year - I'll be buying about 2 or 3 more of these.

Great for a chair or as a bed to take a nap. I use this to game and watch a movie. Or when I get home from work to take a nap. You can manipulate it to your liking. I’m a bit heavy, so I felt I could use more foam. I contacted Chill Sack and they responded within minutes to my email. Also my extra filling is being processed. At no extra charge! I think the bag is good to go for most people, but if you do need more filling, let them know!

I LOVE my Chill sack but PLEASE just give us extra fill.... I don't care how small you are or how many times you flip it YOU'RE GONNA SINK TO THE FLOOR WITHOUT EXTRA FILL....The woman in the advertisement MUST be hollow lol..... Ok now that we've covered that part let me tell you this thing is HUGE and I love it my daughter and I can BOTH lay on it comfortably together.... She is 5'3" 145lbs & I'm 5'2" 155lbs.... I'm pleased with the quality of everything... It has a sturdy zipper, the texture of the fabric cover is nice & soft & the color that I chose is spectacular (yellow).... I put everything together myself without any issues.... The only thing I would recommend other than the extra fill is that you leave PLENTY of space for it to expand for a few days.... I will update this review after I add more fill... Let's see if they handle ME with the same care that other reviewers have received when requesting more.... I'm leaving out my score for Support until I have my experience with them.

I previously brought the red pebble round sack for myself, so I got this one to gift to a friend so that we could sit couch-style while watching movies and playing games. It's a great couch for two people, or a great bed for one person and a cat. I am 5'2 so I fit on it fine when I sleep over. In the picture is how much fluff came with the sack. It was an okay amount of fluff, but I found we had to toss the bag around after every use in order to keep from sinking to the floor. I did buy an extra 10lb bag from an unrelated seller, and with the extra stuffing it only needs to be kicked around every week or two with regular use. The linen is surprisingly soft and has a great texture, but I slightly prefer the pebble as it's softer and seems easier to clean. It also is slightly less static-driven than the linen, though the linen definitely matches more room styles.

This is pretty large memory foam chair. It does need more foam but I had some extra foam that I put in it. sitting in it for a day will cause it to flatten out but you can just fluff it back up. I should have gotten a larger one as it is a just not big enough for a 6'3'' person.

The length is so great and you'll definitely be sitting off the ground in width. I purchased the 6' chill sac in a dark brown color called, "chocolate". I wish I could say that my chill sac is easy to move around from room to room, but my cover had no handle included. There's just two holes in one area of the sac cover where a handle should go, I'm laughing. At least I thought the description said there was a handle for easy moving. After it's fully fluffed, you will know if you can handle moving it back and forth, because it is heavy, for sure. My only other bad experience with this sac, is that it is NOT as full as it could be! There is sooooo much room left floating around that the cover is a bit loose, even after letting it refluff for days on end. I left the sac to refluff for a week or so at a time and once it is in use, it mostly stays sunken after you get up and down. I think the picture is deceiving unless you specify the person shown is about 50 pounds lol, because it is not nearly as firm as shown. However, all-in-all it's really cool, very different than traditional bean bags, very ideal for lounging and adding additional seating, it's super comfy to fall asleep on and my husband loves it. 4-STAR!
