I do not know how the flavor is because I have never tried it to see if it was good. But it must taste pretty good seems it is the only dog food my boxer will eat. I have tried him on all kinds of expensive dog food brands and he will not touch them, I will not say names but for some reason he will not touch them, he will starve to death rather than to eat them. But for some reason he will only eat this brand and the beef flavor. I have had hell to pay trying to track it down when places would run out of it. My dog is a pretty finicky eater, he usually picks out the good stuff, usually dinner scraps (yes I feed my dog people food - they are scavengers by nature you know). But I want him to eat a good quality food to ensure he gets all the nutrition he needs. I've tried top quality foods such as Blue Buffalo etc. I don't mind spending the money but at the same time, I'm disabled and on a tight budget, so I have struggled to find a quality food for my husky that he likes, that's nutritious and affordable. We are both very pleased to have found Chicken soup for both our souls. I want him to live a good long time and he thinks it's quite tasty, thank you. He eats well now and I have peace of mind knowing he is getting nutrition he needs as well as lots to extras to keep his bones and joints in top condition. Wish I could finds coupons to help me afford it a bit easier, but I intend to be a long time loyal customer one way or the other, I'll make sure I can buy it for my best pal! ... show more

Very impressed with this dog food as it appears high quality, good amount of protein, not greasy or smelly. My dogs are very enthusiastic about this food, jumping around when the nice velcro bag (super option that is so handy!) opens. Yay, I love making them happy and giving them good nutrition. The one thing that wasnt so good is that I twice received cat food of the same brand even though I had ordered dog food. Both times Amazon made good on their mistake. It should be noted that the two types look almost identical, a small silhouette of a cat or dog seems to be the distinction. Anyway after comparing the bar codes on the packages mine are completely different, so if the item is being picked by barcode & not visually, then there shouldnt really be an error. It has made me wary about ordering this product since it is a big hassle to have to keep calling about it. ... show more

The brand is wonderful I normally purchase from Chewy and have had no problems but the bulk bag I got here on Amazon was two bucks cheaper, unfortunately the dog food is really dry my dog doesn't want to eat it. Just spend two extra dollars on chewy for the food it's no where near as dry.

So glad I don’t have to drive to get this anymore 45 minutes not everyone sales this.. my 5lb pom was on prescription dog food for sensitive stomach and I mix this in with her 40 dollar bag of prescription so I can save some money she loves it no tummy issues. Hoping to eventually take her off her prescription at this point I think it will be very successful we have been mixing for atleast 4 months she is a Pomeranian the only weighs 6 lbs. ... show more
