I was excited to try out this heat lamp, thinking that it would be an excellent way to control temperature in my chick brooder pen. The lamp is easy to program, and works quickly to produce heat. And it is convenient for my purposes, just reducing the lamp’s digital temperature rather than having to move the lamp up and down to manage the temperature inside the pen. My only issues with this lamp are: The lights are pretty useless - just 3 tiny LEDs that hardly produce any light at all. (I have to use a separate light for my chicks.) The heater seems to be blowing 24/7 to maintain temperature inside my 3’ round brooder, fluctuating 4 or 5 degrees at any moment - which seems excessive to me, and makes me concerned for the longevity of the product. And I don’t think the dust shield works very well, as I can faintly detect a burning smell from the dust generated by the chicks’ bedding material. That being said, the heat lamp has been working well so far, and is a good value for the convenience and performance (so far). ... show more

Can’t shut the light off. There is no timer for it .of it’s above freezing it will keep my 4x5 coop at 55 f but doesn’t keep eggs from freezing below 32f. I had it a few weeks and one has already stopped heating. Haven’t used the other yet. I’m sending them back.

I'm writing to express my satisfaction with the new heaters I purchased for my duck coop. My previous electric bill exceeded $500 over the last three months, as I relied on radiating heaters, a heated floor pad, and a heat lamp to keep my ducks warm. Unfortunately, the radiating heaters were only effective in close proximity, and the coop was still not warm enough, especially with the below-zero temperatures we've experienced in Michigan this year. I was very concerned about my ducks' well-being, particularly one with leg issues that are exacerbated by the cold. However, since installing two of your new heaters in the coop, the heat is evenly dispersed, and the temperature remains comfortable. My ducks now spend more time inside the coop and seem much happier, including the duck with leg problems. I am so grateful to have found these coop heaters.
