I wanted something to gain volume. The shine was just a bonus. After reading reviews I decided to make this my first test product. I can tell a difference in volume for sure. Can't really tell an increase in shine, but im ok with that. The downfall of this, to me, is that it makes my hair sticky. I spray it on before blow drying my hair and it makes it a little difficult to run a brush through (I never had that problem prior to using this). Even after it's dry, it leaves a slightly sticky feeling and harder to brush through. HOWEVER, it doesn't LOOK sticky. I have long, naturally blonde, oily hair. I will say it doesn't add an oily look. I still have to use dry shampoo during the day but nothing that this product caused. That's just normal for me. All and all, I may try another product when this one is finished, but I wouldn't have a problem coming back to this one if nothing else works better. ... show more

This the perfect, lightweight volume spray. I apply it to wet hair at the roots and lightly spray all over hair then blow dry. Doesn’t leave hair sticky or hard. Can easily brush through after hair is dry

This Hair😃 care product in my opinion is EXCELLENT.. especially for Volume.. it lasts a long time and it doesn't smell bad... it's just a VERY GOOD overall product that helps with Thickening too.. Now, comparing this to Aveda Thickening tonic🤔 (haven't tried Aveda Volume booster) this CHI product is BETTER imo for Volume.. but I do give a little edge to Aveda for Thickening ( makes sense) .. but NOT MUCH and CHI is at a better price than Aveda.. anyway with all that everybody's hair is different so you'll have to see which one works best for you.. one thing is for sure they're both in the same league ... and they're both VERY GOOD imo... it reminds me of trying to compare Coke and Pepsi.. 😊Anyway Thanks for reading and I hope this review helps.. ... show more

This product is great! I have long, really fine, naturally blonde hair. Most products make my hair greasy or weigh it down. This product does neither! I can also spray it on my roots which I can’t with most. Also most volumizing products are sticky and make my hair tangle and knot l. But this one isn’t! I have very fine hair, but this gives it great lift in the back. It's like a regular hairspray, so it can leave hair a little crunchy if you overdo it. But it's great for volume and works well when following the directions on the bottle.
