A little goes a very long ways. I’m a guy with a large beard. I tried the usual products for men and wasn’t impressed. One of the beard oils I bought were ok but didn’t really soften my beard. My beard, not soft. More like a face full of very small wire instead of hair. Maybe some of you ladies can attest to this having experienced your man’s beard. After showering , washing and conditioning my beard and blow drying it I used about a dime sized amount, rubbed my hands together and applied this stuff. You have to wash your hands afterward, just wiping didn’t get it off. After about an hour I ran my fingers through my beard and was pleasantly surprised. Really soft and my beard smelled great. Chi is meant to provide that healthy shine to hair but it also leaves hair silky to the touch. I use a drop or two daily, put it on my fingertips to put it on my scalp, then hair ends. Love it and it's a good price at Amazon.

I've used this my last two wash days, applied to my damp hair before drying (blow dried or aired). I like it so far. I notice it has protein in it, and I believe this is what made my hair feel a little thicker and fortified. It wasn't very moisturizing for my relaxed African-American hair, but it did give it a very soft and silky feel with a matte sheen. It helps my hair feel strong and I've seen almost no breakage in between my weekly wash. Amazing. If it added shine I woud've given it five stars; For my hair, I still had to use an additional serum to add shine and gloss after it dried and before I flat ironed.
