    • Beautiful, well-made bed set with plenty of length in the bedspread (on my third set)
I love these bedspreads/sets. I have bought this same product three times. First and second time I ordered the salmon colored because it matched my bedroom colors at the time. I was disappointed when I changed more to blues and this product did not come in blue/cream or khaki, but the next time I looked they had added blue/khaki and so I purchased again. In the meantime I had purchased another blue bedset but the length on the sides was way too short, which is often the problem with bedspreads or sets. I have a tall king bed with a thick mattress, and the length of this bedspread on the sides is definitely long enough. The product is also very well made and the shams stand up to machine washing (I don't put them in the dryer, haven't tried). I think the bedspread would stand up to machine washing also, but my machine isn't big enough. I once had the set dry-cleaned and it cost more than just buying the product again. I keep it covered with a decorative blanket since I have cats, but if there are small spots they usually clean up well with just water. When it's time that it really needs cleaning, well, I will just buy another set :). The spread is not heavy but not super lightweight if that is what you're looking for, but I think sometimes you give up in quality what you gain in lightweight. I do live in SW Florida, so almost anything is too heavy at night and I just don't put it over me. I paid $40.00 for the Chezmoi Bedspread. It's running $4.00 higher at the time of this review, but I believe it's still worth it. We purchased it over 8 months age, but just put it on our bed in September (3 1/2 months) ago. Over the last few months it has held up well to many washings as well as the wrestling matches that my ornery cats & dogs insist on engaging in - on the bed. We bought this oversized bedspread, because we have a sleigh bed that looks odd when the bedding isn't wide enough to hang properly. We like the generous size & the way it hangs. It looks great & is mildly soft. It seems to breath & is fairly lightweight. Once you put blankets underneath it, we're very snug and warm. Update: I can't believe it! Almost 1 1/2 later, this looks almost new. That may not seem like a big deal to some of you, but for those of you that have cats and very large dogs wrestling all over your bed, you know we end up laundering our bedding more often than those that don't share a bed with furry family members. Many washings & many animal trompings later, this bedspread still looks almost new with no fading & no 'napping' of the material. By the way, pet hair comes off easily as well. I wouldn't mind if they came out with some bolder colors, but otherwise, I couldn't be happier with my purchase. ... show more

    • Good bedspread for the price
For the price, this bedspread is well made. I use it only during the day, so the fact that it's 100% polyester isn't a problem. Both colors work for me, and I thought I'd reverse it occasionally, depending on my mood. However, it's not truly reversible, in that the khaki side has the blue color in a thin strip around the bottom (the cheapest hemming method) and also contains, very visibly, the mfr's 2 tags, both of which spoil the khaki side for me. So I use only the blue side, and it's a light, pleasing teal. The khaki side is a lightish khaki, also pleasing, but alas not usable for my purpose. I'm not using the 2 pillow holders because my standard pillows do not fit in them. Perhaps one day I'll buy smaller pillows and use them as accents. I'm using this bedspread on a queen size mattress (60 x 80 inches) on a platform base (no box spring mattress). My bed is 23 inches high and the bedspread comes right to the floor on both sides. So if your bed is 23 to 25 inches high and in the middle of the room, you'll be fine; if your bed is against or close to a wall, you can make the bedspread shorter on the wall side. The length can of course be manipulated, but if the bedspread reaches the floor lengthwise, or even a few inches from the floor, the bedspread won't cover the pillows. Hence, perhaps, the 2 pillow covers, which also are well made but don't work for my standard pillows. (I bought the same fabric that my curtains are made of, and made a long, 3-foot-wide strip to cover the pillows, which is a very easy sewing job).     • A Smart Buy for Summer
Bought the Grey/Sage Green option. This is a well-made coverlet set. I have a king sleep number bed with a pillowtop cover and this oversized "quilt" had plenty of drape on all 3 sides. A nice detail is that all 4 sides have the scalloped border, so when you turn the bed down, you see the contrast and you have the continuity of the seam. I do not know how long the machine stitching will last, but it appears to be real stitching and not heat-pressed. I was a little concerned about this being "microfiber" as I have purchased microfiber comforters/duvets in the past and they have all had some sort of sheen that I find unattractive and cheap. This may have a very slight and subtle sheen due to the nature of the fabric, but it is in no way detracting and is not sateen. It is very lightweight, which is what we wanted in a summer time coverlet. Our upstairs reaches over 80 degrees despite the A/C and this provided wonderful weight and coverage without overheating, probably because it lacks batting. I will say the shams are nicely made, good seams, corners, and perfectly rectangle...however, they are a bit big. My king size pillows look a little floppy and flat in them. They are made for the overstuffed King pillows, I guess. This is not enough to make the bed look unkempt; it's just a noticeable difference compared to my spring & winter shams. Lastly, while the contrast color IS on the back of the sham, it is not "quilted" and is just fabric with the split opening running horizontally. You couldn't flip them over to sage if you wanted to match the sage side. ... show more
