We just got a King Charles Spaniel last year that loves to cuddle and sleeps with us every night, and no matter how much I brush her she sheds that really fine hair that seems to stick to everything, so I wash my quilt once a week. To my amazement, even after a year of weekly laundering, it still looks like a brand new quilt! It's still as soft as the day I got it, and has not worn out anywhere. I'm actually thinking of buying another one, just in case the one I have ever does wear out and they don't carry it anymore, or the color is no longer available. I love the blue and I can't say enough about the quality of this quilt or the size. Most quilts I've owned have left one side of the bed about 3' short, allowing the other side that is visible to be closer to the floor. I'm still just a little short on one side, but not nearly as bad as it was with the other quilts I've owned. I also like that it's light weight. We live in Maine, and in the summer when it's muggy and hot it's perfect, and in the winter we just add a nice thick blanket and are toasty warm. Also, this quilt has lasted longer than any quilt I've ever owned and the best part is, it fits in my regular washing machine and it doesn't wrinkle. My other quilts didn't fit in my washing machine or dryer, and it was a long afternoon at the laundry mat to get them cleaned. So I'm loving the fact I don't have to do that anymore! I absolutely love this! I read the reviews: yes, it’s thin but I wasn’t looking for a winter warm quilt. And yes, the design is embossed rather than stitched. While I had no opinion about that when I ordered it, I find now that it is far less likely to snag because it is not stitched. I have cats who’s claws are constantly sticking to and snagging everything so I bought a second for that inevitability ( and because I really like it and the price was amazing!); however, after a month’s use there are no snags! I have a most uncomfortable new deep mattress so I had to add a three inch foam topper. That shortened my previous spread by three inches each side exposing my bed’s box springs. Color is true. Over sized. My bed is very high and this covers it and then some. It’s not conventional stitching. The pattern is “pinsonic pressed”. This technique leaves holes and you can see the batting. I don’t find that to be a big deal. It’s only noticeable up close. Overall I am very pleased with the product. Color is as shown for the spa blue . It’s a lighter weight bedspread. It washed and dried well and didn’t shrink that I can tell. I ordered a queen size. The box said it’s king size but a sticker on the box said queen. The tag attached to the bedspread says king. It fits like a quality queen size would fit. I wanted to like this quilt, honestly I did. I have this quilt in white & it is gorgeous & looks a lot more expensive than what I paid for it. It being over sized is an added bonus because too many times if it just says king, then it comes up short. The length on this is fantastic, weight of it is perfect (especially for South Georgia climate). the seams are secure. It really is a wonderful quilt set. My problem is with the color. The description states blue. I was expecting a light blue, maybe even powder blue. This is seafoam green. Period. More green than blue. It is beautiful, if you want seafoam green. If you want blue, you may need to go in a different direction. I have beach theme in our bedroom. I have a painting of the ocean, shore, seaweed on the wall above my bed. I have sea turtle lamps on each side of the bed. This didn't match anything. It would have worked but I wasn't in love with it. Again, quality is top notch. Whoever named the color must have been color blind. Sadly, I am returning it & getting the same brand, just a different color. ... show more
