We just got a King Charles Spaniel last year that loves to cuddle and sleeps with us every night, and no matter how much I brush her she sheds that really fine hair that seems to stick to everything, so I wash my quilt once a week. To my amazement, even after a year of weekly laundering, it still looks like a brand new quilt! It's still as soft as the day I got it, and has not worn out anywhere. I'm actually thinking of buying another one, just in case the one I have ever does wear out and they don't carry it anymore, or the color is no longer available. I love the blue and I can't say enough about the quality of this quilt or the size. Most quilts I've owned have left one side of the bed about 3' short, allowing the other side that is visible to be closer to the floor. I'm still just a little short on one side, but not nearly as bad as it was with the other quilts I've owned. I also like that it's light weight. We live in Maine, and in the summer when it's muggy and hot it's perfect, and in the winter we just add a nice thick blanket and are toasty warm. Also, this quilt has lasted longer than any quilt I've ever owned and the best part is, it fits in my regular washing machine and it doesn't wrinkle. My other quilts didn't fit in my washing machine or dryer, and it was a long afternoon at the laundry mat to get them cleaned. So I'm loving the fact I don't have to do that anymore! I ordered the purple king size trying to match my deep violet wall. It doesn’t match exactly but it’s dark enough to work. I like the size of it. It doesn’t go down to the floor but it’s long enough to cover our adjustable mattress frame without a dust ruffle. It’s soft and lightweight and great for the summer months and the price was terrific for king size bedspread. This is a quality bedspread and the size is perfect. However, be aware that the images on the website are not necessarily the color of the product you will receive. We ordered the navy and the ACTUAL color is closer to 'blue' in the color world. WASHING it after opening, the color faded more. Finally found something to give both my hubby and I enough coverage over both sides of our king bed. The bedspread is light enough for our Texas heat, but provides enough warmth to sleep comfortably. The material is soft, it is reversible and looks great. You won’t regret this purchase!

This is a beautiful, sage green coverlet with two pillow shams. The size is just right for my king size bed. I do plan to use a dust ruffle due to the height of my mattress. It provides just enough weight to feel comfortable or summer or winter. It should be fine to wash in a standard washing machine without being so heavy you would have to take it to a public laundromat. I air dried mine and it still looks great. There is a slight odor when first opened, but it is the odor of the dyes for the coverlet. A gentle washing takes care of that odor. The design is not stitched with thread. The description states it is a "pinsonic pressed pattern", but it looks beautiful. One would have to look carefully and up close to see there is not actual stitching in the design. I wanted to like this quilt, honestly I did. I have this quilt in white & it is gorgeous & looks a lot more expensive than what I paid for it. It being over sized is an added bonus because too many times if it just says king, then it comes up short. The length on this is fantastic, weight of it is perfect (especially for South Georgia climate). the seams are secure. It really is a wonderful quilt set. My problem is with the color. The description states blue. I was expecting a light blue, maybe even powder blue. This is seafoam green. Period. More green than blue. It is beautiful, if you want seafoam green. If you want blue, you may need to go in a different direction. I have beach theme in our bedroom. I have a painting of the ocean, shore, seaweed on the wall above my bed. I have sea turtle lamps on each side of the bed. This didn't match anything. It would have worked but I wasn't in love with it. Again, quality is top notch. Whoever named the color must have been color blind. Sadly, I am returning it & getting the same brand, just a different color. ... show more
