Nice little freezer. For home use, says cost use about $20 a YEAR to run. Now, I'm putting it in an RV... It will be running off lithium batteries and an inverter.... Based on their energy usage specs.. about 1 to 1.5 amps at 12-14vdc.. well within most inverter battery setups these days ... (most of the new RV's are coming with "12 volt" refrigerators..... which is nits because they are really 120v with a built in inverter (and a horrible price tag).. and I'll bet the 12vdc freezers do the same thing). Only complaint, the display shows your set temp... It doesn't show actual temp (haven't go it to actual temp yet, so maybe when it gets close??)

Love the digital temperature control. Unit runs well and setting at -1° cycles between +1° and -5°. The only reason I rated this a 4 is the unit has a manufacturing defect that doesn't effect the operation. Chest freezers of this type are inexpensive and my experience with other brands has been less than satisfactory. I'll post an update to this on how long it lasts.

I have two of the wonderful little freezers. The first one arrived in good condition. It works very well and I’m sure this one will, too. It gets very, very cold. I was not able to make contact with the seller to describe the condition of the one I just received. The only option available was to start a return. It is too big to return (for two elderly seniors) and my husband had to cut the box off to remove the freezer and I need the freezer right now. It works, but is the front is unsightly and it will be sitting the breakfast room. We decided to keep it and just turn it backwards to sort of hide the damage. All I wanted to do was to let the seller know that the box was in perfect shape when it arrived, but the freezer was apparently packed for shipment, despite being damaged. Too awkward to return, but I must say I love my other one and I know this one will work just as well. I hope the seller is reading the reviews, so they can better control the condition of their merchandise before it leaves the factory warehouse. I am very disappointed with the damage. Note: These freezers come covered in a tight protective plastic membrane. It looks bad if you leave it on. Removing it is a very slow and tedious process. Otherwise, if you get one without damage, it’s a swell little freezer.
