I put them on the top step (upper floor level) and the landing edge. I also put them on the two stairs above the landing and the lower floor level. They are just bright enough, even without having been in a bright area, that I can see them in the dark and avoid tripping (from losing track of which step I'm on and from stepping on the edge instead of firmly on the step). They serve the same function in the daytime, even if you're distracted. I positioned them so that the yellow strip is right at the edge, which I find better. (I folded the outside strip down 90 degrees, although it likes to pull loose.) Overall, a very good product.

Used these for our commercial building interior stairwells. Each tread and riser stands out well so you don’t miss a step. Very easy to install. Excellent adhesion and good grit. Looks great and has not lifted up in the past month that we have had it on. Just ordered an extra roll as we ran short. Highly recommend it.

One of the only products for a reasonable price that actually covers an entire standard flight of home stairs. I used this on the stairs to my basement. I didn't span the entire width of the step, but did a little math and it covered all 12 steps in the space where your foot lands. My stairs are painted and the adhesive stuck great. So far it hasn't collected dust or sock lint (which was my biggest fear) and pet hair was easily vacuumed off. It doesn't shed little sandy particles like many cheap sandpaper style products do. This was important because I wanted safety without scratching my floors. I didn't want something reflective because it's in my home and not industrial or outdoor space. Highly functional and I recommend if your situation is similar to mine.

I bought this to use as extra traction on my quail coop ramps and it works great! Adhesion is fantastic, it's waterproof, and it's the color doesn't go dingey so it adds some heat (while not getting to hot)

I cleaned and dried and prepped the smooth surface of my spiral staircase outdoor. I put this down, made sure the edges were down really well, and two weeks later after it rained, it was lifting. Very unhappy. All that work & effort I put in to install it is even worse in my opinion than the expense of the tape. Once winter comes I’m sure it will be even worse.
