Base is heavy enough, and rod uprights are sturdy. The clamps could be better. They are a little flimsy, and don't attach very strongly to the uprights. The plastic knob to tighten the clamps is VERY brittle, and feels like it will break if you really turn it down. Either that, or the clamp will bend. Neither is that great. There are not right angles at all. Although the stand is quite sturdy, the rods positions are not perpendicular to the base. The same issues with the burette clamps, the flask ring clamps, abd the retort rings -- no way to adjust their perpendicular to the rod. Otherwise, if strict uprightness and perpendicularity are not important, this is a good item for its price. ... show more
