I really like the quality and feel of these rugs. The washable factor is a huge bonus. Usually I spot clean, however sometimes they just need a good cleaning and hold up well. They are highly preferred and desired by my cat. Many sunbeam battles have been settled between the cat and dog and the rugs have faired well. They are not fuzzy but thick and soft underfoot. This rug is sturdy and of good quality. It is as soft as can be expected and not itchy. I can't tell if it is easy to clean as of now, because it is new, but it is machine washable.

These types of shag rugs are difficult to clean. If you toss it in the wash the fabric will pull apart and your washer will be a mess. It’s better to spot clean them instead.
