I hope this review is helpful for both buyers and the Chemical Guys. Mitten and brush and cloths - how much better they are than others 5 or more less, I don't know. They worked. I'll need another brush for tighter spaces on my wheels. And I'll need a couple way bigger drying cloths. And I'll need a couple waffle windows cloths. So I paid more for what I could have paid less for AND still need to buy 3 more things. Gets me wondering. Bucket and filter - Nice size and one of a kind filter. How much good it does, I'm not sure. Price for bucket was comparatively good. Foamer - about the same price as others, although there are Chinese brands half the price. Didn't really push out the water or foam as much as I'd like. Probably need a pressure washer, but I'd rather just use two buckets - one with suds and other for rinse. Save water and money and do close to as good a job. Diablo wheel cleaner - it's a gel but it's in a spray bottle. I watched their videos and it sprayed like a mist and then sudded up and then you scrub it with the scrubber. My sprayer didn't mist, but just squirted glops out in a line. So it didn't sud or cover well. And I didn't see that it cleaned any better than the cheaper stuff I've used before. Snow foam soap, or whatever it's called - It foamed and cleaned, but again, I didn't see that it did any better than less expensive stuff that you get more of. Fun smell though. Shine stuff for interior and sorta tires - yet again, didn't seem to do much better than other less expensive stuff. Didn't use the wax or glass cleaner. As I kept watching their and other pro detailers I learned a few things: UV protection just isn't real. There are guys that have tested all the car products for how well they stand up to UV - and they just don't work. (And I live in Phoenix, so double that.) You can clear coat - expensive - or you can film - less expensive but drawbacks. Stuff that keeps your oil based stuff black - Chem Guys say their best whatchamacallit tire and plastic gel is oil based. (Have a video where they're putting it on a Jeep's plastic fenders.) But, again, there are guys showing how after a few weeks, every single black stuff car stuff fades. Doesn't hold up to UV. (But I got thinking and saw all these videos where Petrenol does absolute wonders on outside plastics for a long time and is the same price for a gallon!) So when it comes down to it: Get some basic wash. Get some basic indoor stuff. Get some basic tire cleaner. Get some basic tire dressing. 50/50 Alcohol/distilled works for cleaning windows. (Not sure what to use on carpets.) Get some basic inside plastic protection. Protection stuff will work about two weeks. Same with tires. Best long lasting stuff for outside plastics is Petronol. Get some big drying cloths, some waffle window clothes, some big and small brushes, a mitten, and a couple of buckets. That all being said - of all these car care companies, presentation, stand outness, coolness, variety, helpful videos, etc. Really like Chemical Guys. And the bundles are a good deal if that's what you're looking for. But while that stuff is nice - not for me. ... show more

Easy to use, great and clear instructions in the kit. I am no car detail expert so this kit made it so easy. Products smell great and the whole kit seems so luxurious compared to main brand of car detail/cleaning products/brands.

This wash kit works fantastic for the price. It comes with all of the basics needed and makes washing properly 10x easier. It also all fits inside of the bucket to store easily anywhere in the garage.

Overall, this is good enough for someone to get started if they grab a few extra things. I'll go into as much detail as I can. However, I've only used this kit twice so far. (TL;DR included) To start off, this kit does work and you definitely see the results. This kit is aimed more towards someone who doesn't know what they would need to detail their vehicle so they can get their foot in the door with minimal research or guides. Some people did have problems with the packaging having chemicals leak out. I didn't have any major issues with mine, but the packaging for the brush was already damaged and opened. The brush itself was fine and everything else was in good condition which was surprising. Definitely impressed with how much you get in this kit, but seriously disappointed there are no instructions included because there's a lot to go through and I had to go through Youtube and the Chemical Guys website to find out how and when I should use each product. I know there are directions for each product, but that's it. Nothing else. They do give you a decent amount of product to last a few months, at least anything you'd actually need. The first run with the kit was... okay. Note: I'm doing this on a 2018 Kia Soul. I definitely had to spend a bit extra to get going even with the highest tier kit for this product. Before the first run, I got another bucket and dirt trap (~$17). They recommend a 2 bucket method in the video guide on Youtube and my car definitely needed it for the first run. Although, you can definitely get by without it. (Just clean out the bucket after doing your tires then fill with soapy water.) This first attempt did get awkward because there were no drying towels and the 'After Wash' spray did little to nothing for me. I had to use microfiber towels to apply the Butter Wet Wax and they're a bit too thin but I got through it. The interior was much smoother. In the end, my car did look great and I was happy with the results. I did find traces for butter wax on the car later on so definitely do a few checks before moving on. Before my second run at this, I had to get: a car mop, interior detailing brush, replacement brush (for the tires), microfiber sponges, and drying towels (~$55, the brushes and mop was part of a kit). This went much smoother since the original tire brush was too soft to remove most of the dirt/brake dust, reaching my roof and front windshield was much easier, and the microfiber sponges let me apply the Butter Wet Wax with no problems (I had to also go back a few times to remove anything remaining since it seems to get reapplied very easily) while also removing any dirt/brake dust before and after applying the silk shine. Oh and also being able to dry my car. That's also useful. My car even looked better this time. Note: The 'After Wash' spray still didn't do much and I'm almost out now. What I'd say to do as you need to replace product is to do some research and look around to find an equivalent from a more noteworthy brand such as Meguiar's as you'll definitely have better results and get more out of your money and you'll be able to find something that'll fit your preferences such as finding a wax that is more or less glossy or a more effective foam soap. The bucket and dirt trap were the only things I got that were from Chemical Guys as everything else would've cost roughly twice as much. Other complaints I have: the hose attachment has very little tolerance so if it turns even slightly then water is leaking out, some important information can only be found on their website or in their videos, and I still hate that there is no guide for this kit, you'll find similar stuff involving these products but they're broken into multiple videos some a few minutes to about an hour long. TL;DR: Good to start, but don't recommend unless you get additional items that do add up very quickly. You'll have to watch guides and look through their website to see how to apply each product properly. Items to get: car mop, bucket w/ dirt trap, drying towels, and microfiber sponges.
