I have never seen a silver paint quite like this, and at this point I have tried out every silver spray paint I can possibly get my hands on. Most of it is finicky, and dries to a dull finish. This sterling silver spray paint goes on like butter, levels itself, and dries to a bright and beautiful finish that looks like a professional silver leafed it perfectly. I have used it for old handmade hinges (these came back to life!), ugly wooden gold photo frames (now usable!), and even to make a stenciled pattern on paper. As versatile as it is lovely! I have observed that it warms up a little over time as oxygen interacts with the silver and tarnishes it a little. However, after over a year of having the silver painted hinges in a bathroom, they have not tarnished like a regular silver object would. I will definitely be buying this again! ... show more

The silver paint was not very shiny or silver. It was more like a metallic grey, which was disappointing.

I am trying to turn some of my old brass metalic fixtures into a brushed nickel/stain look. This comes as close as possible. It beats out many of the other metallic spray paints I tried from Krylon/Rustoleum as far as the look I'm going for. The other brands for some reason seem to want to add a glittery look to their metallic sprays... I'm not sure why, maybe they think it'll look shinier that way lol (but it just looks fake). 5 COATS LATER.... Slightly duller of a finish (in person) than I had hoped for, but overall, great effect and great look! Very effective for bathroom fixtures and BETTER than other metalic silver or "chrome" spray paints. Believe me, Ive used them all! This spraypaint has great coverage and a smoother finish, with moderate depth compared to a general "chrome" spraypaint that ends up looking dull and flat when youre finished. There is however, a slight grey tone to the paint in low lighting but with the lights on or in direct sunlight there is a lot of reflectivity. Looks amazing in photos. ... show more

I'm using this to paint some book shelves. I wanted them to reflect some light, the room is a bit dark. The paint goes on fine and looks great once dry, it really is very shiny. BUT you can't buff it to make it shine more, the product comes off. On my plywood (that was sanded, cleaned, primed, and cleaned again) the product looks great, but it comes off if you touch it a bit. Your fingers get this slight grayish tinge. So I tried to seal it with some clear gloss spray paint, but that makes the shine disappear. It turns to a dull gray when you seal it! Is not a substitution for chrome or real mirrors (obv). I'm just going to keep using it, and only use the clear gloss seal lightly. Just so it doesn't turn my books all silver. ... show more

This silver spray worked great to change my cabinet hinges. It does rub off some, but I don’t plan on touching them often after they are installed. I did two coats with dry time in between. The pics are the first coat. It does have a strong smell and will leave residue around the room if you spray a lot. ... show more
