I always use Charmin. In these bigger than "Mega" roll size, it is even more practical & cost saving. I used to use cheaper tissue. But tried Charmin when I got a great savings coupon. What I found out is that it is not only softer & better than others. It is very cost effective! Two rolls take me through a month. I just don't need to use as much. Whith the cheaper product, I used about 6-8 squares after urination. And much more with a bowel movement. With Charmin, I use 3 squares after urinating. Even after deffecating, I only use about 6 squares most of the time. Why? Because the paper is more durable & absorbent. It is like a good, kleenex-type, nasal tissue. It's soft but strong & gives better performance. Quite simply, I use less because I need less to do the same job. I use to hate having my fingers or hand break through the tissue while doing the job with cheaper tissue. I never have a break through problem since I started using Charmin.' Because I can use so much less paper to do the job, it actually makes the Charmin very competitively priced. I spend less money on toilet tissue with Charmin, than with any other paper. A package the size of this one will last me 4 months or more. Admittedly, when I have friends come by, who are used to using cheap product, they will use my Charmin like it's the cheap stuff. But I just overlook that. Although you'd think they'd notice.😉

In the TP apocalypse of 2020, who thought we'd all be on Amazon buying toilet paper and not other more useful trinkets? But hey, Amazon wants a review of toilet paper, I'm happy to oblige. Charmin Strong isn't my normal product. I lean toward Charmin Soft, and usually get it from the warehouse club store that shall not be named here. We aren't a huge household, so a warehouse club sized package of toilet paper lasts many months, and since we are logical people we didn't panic and go out and buy massive quantities of disposable paper products when the pandemic was announced. We had plenty on hand and frankly if current events are really going to be disruptive of manufacturing processes, I think there are other things we should and could be more concerned about. Months pass and rather than visit the warehouse club that shall not be named, I turned to trusty Amazon for my toilet paper needs. I wasn't disappointed. Well, actually I was since Charmin Soft was nowhere to be found on Amazon when I placed this order. So I accepted an alternate, Charmin Strong. It arrived on time and in great condition and now some thoughts. Charmin Strong is not nearly as soft as Charmin Soft, I guess that is the Captain Obvious statement of the day. However it is effective, and is much nicer to use than some of those low cost, large roll brands you can find at restaurant supply stores and in your typical 3-star hotel bathroom. Rolls are very big around and last much longer than our usual Charmin product. The rolls are so large that Charmin advertises that you can go to a web site and get a free toilet paper holder stick which gives you more room in a wall mount toilet paper holder for the big rolls. I feel fortunate that all of our TP holders in the house are fairly new and seem to handle the big roll easily. The texture of the TP is a bit thicker than Charmin Soft, and also feels less "fuzzy". I'd say the two products are equally effective at their assigned tasks, however Strong seems better suited to not allow "break thrus". Not that this happens much in our household, but sometimes it isn't avoidable. TP is a very personal choice, if you are ok with gas station sandpaper, then you get the benefit of spending less on something you throw away and more on the aforementioned trinkets at Amazon which are much more interesting than TP. However, if you want to be somewhat clean after your duce and not feel like you drug a dry maple leaf between your sitting cushions, Charmin Strong is probably a better choice. Anyway, how much are you really saving when you buy low quality toilet paper?

Charmin is a high quality toilet paper. I like the Ultra Strong because it is strong and soft - ie, don't let the "strong" fool you in to thinking the paper is rough. It's not. We live in an apartment, so buying 24 rolls at a time can be a lot - we have in the past had trouble figuring out where to store them all, but at the end of the day they end up getting used and it is nice to not have to do a last-minute toilet paper run to the store. A good value on Subscribe & Save, but I would just make sure you don't accidentally order it two months in a row if you have not used all the rolls up. I have done that and it causes big problems in terms of where to store everything. If you manage your subscriptions, you should be fine and it's great to not have to schlep all the toilet paper home from the store!

We all know Charmin is the Bentley of poop removal. One of the problems with super plush and ultra strong fecal residue elimination is that there are fewer sheets per roll than your 70 grit garbage you have at work. So I was stoked to see they now have a 5x roll! Only problem. We have one of those in wall toilet paper dispensers and such a large roll makes it impossible to actually... roll. You have to two hand squeeze and turn that bad boy, which means putting down the phone and interrupting your candy crush streak. Or you could take it out... but you may have a wife that insists that toilet paper must go in the proper dispenser, no matter how useless it is for ginormous rolls of pillowy derrière cleaning paper. This of course leads to a huge conflict and before you know it you are sleeping in one of your kids beds... which, hey, isn’t so bad because they normally spend half the night in your bed until one of you wakes up smelling their spiked diaper. Come to think about it, if only they knew how strong and soft these wipes were they would be begging to be potty trained, and of course then it wouldn’t be my fault that the toilet paper is off the holder. I could get my bed back and the kid could be potty trained and sleep in his own bed. One can dream I suppose. And if push comes to shove, a few yards of this stuff could work as a nice pillow too.

With TP... there's a fine balance between keeping your hands clean and keeping your exit chute happy. Sure, you want softness for your tender bits down there, but if you go too soft, everything falls apart, leaving your poor hands to deal with the consequences. But if you lean too far on the strong side, you run the risk of damaging the sensitive skin surrounding the void. This stuff is the Goldilocks solution that leaves me whispering, "JUST RIGHT" to myself 2-3 times per day. So go ahead and treat yourself. You deserve it. In fact, my only complaint is that the MEGA rolls are a little to large to comfortably carry with me when I go to work, go to Applebee's, or go to the mall. I've resorted to carrying a backpack at all times so I can avoid drawing attention to myself while resting easy knowing that should the unthinkable happen, cleanup will be a breeze.

I had to order this instead of my normal Charmin because I had forgotten to place my normal monthly-ish order, and pre-pandemic rumblings of there being a rush on toilet paper made me want to avoid that hot mess at the store if at all possible. Let me tell you what - I will NEVER order another type of Charmin. I swear this stuff is made with some sort of Starfish regeneration serum, because each roll lasts forever. Seriously. I chose to double my order at the time because I live with my husband and three little boys, and I knew how long our normal order lasted, so I assumed it would be better to prevent having to deal with the stores again a month later. I’m now pretty sure we won’t run out of toilet paper until after the summer. We could be almost out of this stuff, and I wouldn’t be concerned and feel a sense of urgency to restock until I had less than half of one roll left. Apart from all that, it’s soft and all the good stuff you expect from Charmin.
