This is Charmin Ultra Soft. If you know, you know. We have this on Subscribe & Save, which means once a month Amazon shows up like a responsible friend and quietly says, “I got you,” without asking any questions about our life choices. And for that alone, five stars. Let’s talk performance. This stuff is thick, soft, and reliable. It doesn’t flake, it doesn’t disintegrate, and it doesn’t suddenly disappear when you need it most. Every sheet feels like it went through customer service training and was told its only job is comfort and consistency. The mega rolls are no joke either. These things last. You replace the roll and immediately forget about it, which is exactly what you want from toilet paper. No mid-situation panic. No “who forgot to change the roll” conversations. Just peace. Ultra Soft is the correct name. It’s gentle without feeling weak, strong without feeling like sandpaper, and somehow manages to be plush without clogging the plumbing. That is not an easy balance, and Charmin nailed it. I have tried cheaper brands. I have regretted those decisions. We’ve been buying Charmin Ultra Soft for years, and this Family Mega pack stays on a once-a-month Subscribe & Save for a reason. Each delivery comes with two full packages in one box, and for a family of five, that’s more than enough to comfortably get us through the month without running out or panic-ordering mid-cycle. The paper itself is genuinely soft — not “marketing soft,” but actually comfortable — while still being strong enough to hold together. No surprise tears, no overusing sheets, and no second guessing. The Family Mega rolls last noticeably longer than standard rolls, which means fewer roll changes and fewer “who finished it?” conversations. Absorbency is solid, lint is minimal, and it’s been completely fine with our plumbing and septic system. Bottom line: reliable, comfortable, and boring in the best possible way.
