This review is for the Pillow Talk Blush Balm lipcolor in the shade Cherry Talk. It was a fair value for a high performing lipcolor with better color payoff and longevity than most tinted balms or similar drugstore products. Cherry Talk shade: Cherry Talk is a sheer, bright red with crimson, coral and strawberry undertones. It might look slightly pinkish on light skin tones. It is warmer and more coral toned than the Charlotte Tilbury lipgloss in Red Vixen. This is a lighter way to wear red lipcolor if you don't want the frequent touchups or bold look of matte, red lipstick. Use: I wore red or burgundy lipstick on the regular in college. Once I started working it was impossible to keep up with the frequent touchups lipstick requires. But I will always have a soft spot for a strong lip look. I am over 50 and at my age moisturizing is more important than color. Quality: I was expecting to give this lipcolor a 4 star review as just another tinted lip balm that feels and looks nice but wears off as quickly as chapstick. But lo and behold, for once a luxury cosmetic is outperforming the drugstore products. The color payoff is considerably higher than most tinted balms and I had traces of color 4 hours later. The color made it through a long workday with only one midday touchup. At the end of the day my lips felt more moisturized. The color is dense and creamy but it feels like it "sticks" to the lips without feeling sticky. It feels like a gel. It went on very smoothly with even, dense color with one coat and more intense color with a second coat. Presentation: There is a slim, but weighty, rose-gold case. There is a diamond shaped latch but you don't have to close the cap on a specific side. The slanted applicator worked well for precise application but it is possible to do touchups without a mirror because the product is somewhat sheer. Negatives: The label on the bottom is not color coded to match the shade like the outer packaging is. The shade name is written in small font. If you collect more than one shade it is hard to tell them apart. Brand: Charlotte Tilbury still owns her own brand. It is one of the few luxury cosmetics lines to be truly cruelty free.

I gave this to my fiancé, and she really enjoys it! The good - She loves the smoothness of the product, and appreciates that it isn't "sticky" like some other brands. The color is dark, but not too dark. I think it's pretty subtle overall, but this depends on how much you apply, of course. It feels premium and luxurious and looks natural on lips, it isn't overly glossy or cakey. The tube is also really nice, the lid closes decisively and the tube twists smoothly. The meh - We feel the price is a bit high. It's a good product, but it doesn't feel like a great value. It comes in a very small 2 gram tube, and while a little goes a long way, there is definitely better value to be had from other brands. But, this is a reputable brand, very high quality, and Italian made, so I can understand the price. But if you're value minded, you might could do better. The bad - no bad! Overall, my partner is a fan, and would consider grabbing more products from the Charlotte Tilbury line!

The Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Blush Balm Lip Tints are pleasantly surprising, as I tend not to enjoy wearing things that are glossy, even a little bit. These glossy sticks have a balmy, lightly glossy texture, and allow your own lip color to show through. What surprised me most, though, is the longevity. I normally dislike gloss because as far as I am concerned, any money spent on gloss is wasted since the gloss is gone from my lips before I can get the cap back on the gloss tube or stick or whatever. I don't find gloss a particularly good value. However, this lasts a pretty long time, since I can wear it for a few hours. As long as I don't eat, the color stays on. It does fade, but the color turns into a slight stain. Don't worry; you won't have to keep reapplying this one every five minutes. I don't notice any fragrance at all. I note that the texture felt a little bit too glossy for me (shiny, sticky) for all of about two minutes, and then somehow I stopped noticing it, because this "balm lip tint" appeared to turn into a balm instead of a gloss. And it felt like a balm, too. So the hype seems real--this does seem to be a "sheer lipstick and balm and tint". It does exactly what it says it will do. And yes, my lips are softer after wearing this for hours! What do you know? A word to the wise: Don't be scared of the darker shades. I got one of the darkest shades, 90s Kiss, and I assumed that it would be a dark brown sticky gloss on my lips (and let's face it, that WOULD be reminiscent of the 90s, and not in a good way). Instead, this color lay in the sheerest wash of brown berry on my lips, allowing my lip color to show through, and the color worked. It is such a LIGHT, see-through dark color that even I can wear it, and I am pretty pale. Highly recommended.
