It took me about an hour to assemble this cart. It IS sturdy - rolls easily on the casters/wheels provided. Assembly: There are pilot holes poked into the short sides of the serving tray (top of cart) so these made it a little easier to start the screws that go into the handles. NO PILOT holes in the two wooden boards that serve as middle and bottom shelves. I did NOT install the wine glass holder, because the lower sections will be holding laundry supplies ONE CAVEAT: the ASSEMBLY instructions are 70% crap - important details are MISSING from the drawings - such as having the bottom "iron mesh" sides with the inside iron "TABS" (NOT SHOWN ANYWHERE in the instructions) DOWN at floor level in order to be able to put screws in the the bottom piece of wood from the UNDERSIDE. To do this: you must turn the mostly assembled cart ON it's side AND hold the piece of wood steady while trying to insert the screws (AWKWARD!) I believe that two people could put it together - completely - in about a half an hour without seriously risking their friendship... Parts: The hardware comes pre-sorted in little plastic zip bags and are marked with letters. One bag was missing two screws (for the tray handles) - I appropriated a couple screws from the "GLASS holder" bag of screws - these are the same size - since I wasn't installing the glass holder. The wood parts come with number tags on them. The instructions have THIS part right! Impression: I could have gotten a cheaper cart, but the wooden shelves and top tray gives this a "finished look" - more like a piece of furniture and not something that looks strictly utilitarian. ... show more

First, don’t judge my unfinished trim and wall. I am in the middle of a remodel. Haha Second. Assembly was simple and directions were very easy to follow, contrary to other reviews I had read. It took me about 30 mins. It is solid, sturdy, and the casters roll and move well. I live that the top shelf is a removable tray, but when it is in place it is solid and secure. The screws are easily stripped so I recommend NOT using a drill. Use a quality screw driver and you won’t have any problems! As I have said in other reviews, my wife loved it! So if she loves it, it’s not, NOT going to get 5 stars. ... show more

In my search for a bar cart, I ran across this model which is made by several different manufacturers. They all have similar dimensions, a similar look with a removable top but I went with the Charavector due to the more interesting diamond pattern on the lower shelf grill. Pricewise, they are all pretty close. The components-pieces of this bar cart are decent. The metal pieces seem sturdy and the fiberboard-mdf shelves have a nice vinyl veneer with some texture to mimic wood. Note that for the fiberboard there are no pre-drilled holes, just some very light dimples so you know where to drive the wood screws in. You'll need to drive in wood screws for the handles, attaching the wine glass holder, wine bottle holder and also attaching shelves to the metal frame. I'd also suggest attaching the wheels before you attach the bottom shelf, it'll give you some room to drive in the screws. Assembly instructions are ok, not great but if you review the pieces before going to work, it's pretty simple to figure out. It took me maybe 30 minutes to assemble and it looks quite solid. Overall I like this bar cart quite a bit but understand why people dinged it for instructions and assembly. The lack of pre-drilled holes is not a huge problem and they probably went this route so the wood screws would secure more firmly into the fiberboard. So overall a thumbs up, just be prepared to drive in those short wood screws by hand! ... show more

    • Mixed feelings regarding bar cart

Purchased this for my dining room, when it arrived it had zero instructions on how to setup. Luckily I assemble structures for a living so I was able to figure it out. Would've given 5 stars for east to assemble but since I had to guess which screws went where I gave it a 4 star rating. There were two chips on the inside of the top tray so that was disappointing. Also the bracket on the exterior corner of the tray wasn't flush. Sturdiness I have 4 our of 5 stars. I've purchased similar carts on amazon before for less money that felt more heavy duty. Picked this particular cart for the purpose and appeal. I only gave 3 out of 5 stars for thickness because it looks good but doesn't feel like it will last as long as other products. Cute but not sure it's really worth the price they are selling it for. Will write a follow up after some use. ... show more

I love this little cart. The quality is surprisingly good. It was easy to assemble - only had a problem with one screw, but we made it work. Unfortunately mine didn’t come with the wine rack, but I actually don’t mind that much because that 2nd shelf is so short it wouldn’t be useful for anything else if the wine was there. We put our homemade kombucha bottles there instead, which we really needed a place for that was out of the light. I also didn’t use the wine glass holder because I wanted more room for larger bottles on the bottom shelf. We’re using the top for tea and coffee supplies. ... show more
