I don't want, or use the the tools sticking out from the handle. The handle could not be any worse. Only your finger tips will fit. Horrible design. Gave 3 stars because it is sturdy if only you could use it. And the halves do come apart for cleaning.

These tongs and flipper are heavy duty and stainless steel. They will last a long time. Like my headline reads, I really wanted to love these tongs but I don't. No matter how much I try these tongs pinch the skin between my thumb and wrist when I squeeze them. I try hard not to pinch myself with these but somehow it always happens. Next summer I will try and make something I can slide over the handle so I don't pinch myself anymore. If it works, I will love them and if it works and I remember I will update my review in the future. ... show more
