I always wanted one of these in junior high in the 80's, back when they were too expensive for my parents. I live in Florida but spend the summers in upstate NY, and I needed a heavyweight sweatshirt once I got here. Came across this guy, and it was a superb value and came the next day! When I first received it, it was really soft and I saw some reviews where people got the 'not' heavyweight version - so I was concerned. It has the side panels which are indicative of the heavyweight version, so I wore it and then washed it. BOOM, once it's washed, it is that signature Champion heavyweight material. Washabililty is excellent, and it fits perfectly (I'm 5'4 and 130lbs and I ordered the Men's XS - snug but that's the way I wanted it). Classic Champion. A+ ... show more

Yes this is a real Champion product and extremely well made. Heavy weight fabric with the grain as shown, knit inserts just like the Champion products I bought in the 80's and 90's when Champion was king of athletic wear. Great to see that they are working their way back up the ladder. Color is more gold than the yellowish color I see on my monitor. I wear 44R in jackets and this is perfect in L with comfortable but not baggy fit. No defects whatsoever. Sleeve length is generous also. I can roll up the knit cuffs if I want to. It will release some color in the first wash so wash it alone and definitely dry it inside out the first time to get the fleece out or you will look like Big Bird after you take it off. ... show more

Here are some features of this sweatshirt that I really like: it super-comfortable because of the weaving method that the manufacturer uses. It’s also has well-proportioned arms and body and even though it’s made of a heavier-weight material, the fit is loose enough and the shirt is warm.
