I've been making hemp jewelry since early 90's, and have maybe 4 booklets on hemp (the pc term being macrame) knots, but none of them cover everything. Those thin booklets aren't cheap. I bought this mainly for the instructions to wrap stones, since I have oddly shaped stones that's been sitting around for years cos I didn't have the knowledge to make something of them. At last, I do. This book not only shows the basics, but also knots and designs I've admired and longed to master. Last night I made a necklace of a large crystal that had been sitting in one of my craft boxes since 94--it's a unique piece of jewelry. Just that alone made the purchase of this book worth it. This book is the absolute BEST for people new to, or that have long forgotten, macrame. The pictures are good quality. The instructions are easily understood. The best buy for your money!

    • pretty good instructions
Pretty good, though you have to flip back and forth through the book a lot for a single project. I use sticky notes to mark common pages (square knots, finishing). If this was the only craft I did I'm sure I could remember the basics, but I'm into everything and can't remember any of it, so I constantly have to flip around. The pictures and descriptions of steps are clear though, I've already made a few things with no problems. ... show more

    • New ideas with cord for my cabs
I want to experiment wrapping cabs with embroidery bezels. I like wire wrapping, but I have a problem figuring out how to wrap thin stones. Embroidery will do the trick. And this publication has scads of patterns along with instructions, needed materials and that is exactly what I need for my scads of cabs. ... show more

Bought a new book but it looks used. The corner is torn and yellowed. Nevertheless, I like the contents, which are quite comprehensive and am quite contented to use it as a reference.

One of the best knotting books I have read through. Very informative and great pictures and instructions. I make hemp jewelry for a living and this was a great thing to add into my macrame book collection to look back on if I need inspiration.

This book is not readable on kindle part of every page is cut off. Basically it is a rip-off
