I've used this product for almost forty years. Discovered it as a young man in a skin care book. At the time I suffered from occasional break outs and needed something mild to clean my skin. Nothing else worked as well. The cleanser is so mild you can leave it on your skin to soften up oil deposits and black heads. It rinses clean leaving your skin soft. This product and occasional use of pimple cream left my skin free of blemishes. Now the bad news. This batch seems to be the last of the original formula. They have removed the parabens and have a new very different cleanser with glycerin. This product is now very much like dozens of others available. The new formula dries my skin and leaves it itchy. I hope they bring back the original formula. Until then I can't recommend this product. ... show more

The ingredients are clean but there's no later so it's hard to feel clean. Yet it does the trick for my dry sitchy skin

    • daily wash body/face is non-drying, but does not foam well. like dr. bronner or CERAVE better
PROs: does not make your dry zones drier. does not make your oily zones worse. you can use it on the delicate zones of your body. good for sensitive skin. no scent. CONS: you have to use a lot of product, does not last long. feels like it leaves a film on the skin, and it does not foam well, so it does not make you feel 100% clean. not for acne. for acne, I would suggest cerave ALTERNATIVES: Dr Bronner's Pure Castile Liquid Soap (they have scented options too), CERAVE Hydrating Body Wash (for the face and oily areas of the body, you can use CERAVE foaming facial cleanser) ... show more
