The extra width provides great balance, making it ideal for beginners or those who prefer a more relaxing paddle experience. The non-slip deck pad adds confidence when standing, even when the board gets wet. It also feels durable and well-constructed, providing peace of mind that it can handle minor bumps and scrapes.     • A very nice transportable Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP) kit
If you're looking for a compact storage solution and love SUP this is great. I have not taken this on the water yet, however I have blown it up and have evaluated the over all construction. I also own a self made wood frame SUP and have used fiberglass and other composite SUPs. This setup has everything. I found using an electric pump faster. This set up fills a great niche such as where to store...its perfect for an apartment dweller or someone who wants to minimize footprints, and for those want something to transport easier. It's not as reactive as solid SUP, but I anticipate it'll work perfectly fine for most. By nature using a SUP isn't a hardcore technical activity anyways. The included accessories are decent, but not high end. I found packing it back into the included bag a little more difficult, but not impossible. I highly recommend drying it off well otherwise mold will grow (I know this from experience) In terms of price, it's a fraction of a solid board and less than comparable inflatables from other places. I have not evaluated others except for my home made wood SUP. The overall construction seems very standard and the build quality does not seem overly robust. The board itself is made of thick material that shouldn't puncture easily. There's a hand pump to inflate the board, but I own an electric pump that makes inflation much easier. The board comes with everything you need to get started. It includes a set of three fins, a paddle with metal handle, pump, dry bag for your gear, dry bag for your phone, safety leash, repair kit, and backpack. I personally would have liked a kayak seat and double sided oar. It would have made this board stand out from its competitors. I haven't had a chance to take it out on the water yet (water temp is still too cold), so I can't say on how it'll handle. I can say that the accessories all fit in the bag they provide, but with a small issue. The bag is extremely uncomfortable and when loosening the straps it's possible for the weight of the bag to pop the strap out. It's not hard to rethread the strap back through, but it is a little annoying. If you have to walk more than 50 feet you'll notice the weight of the bag on your back and shoulders. The bag is better for storage, but isn't built for transportation. I'd recommended buying a better bag or having a beach cart to move it around while inflated. For this price range it is very competitive with similar iSUPs (inflatable stand up paddle boards), but it doesn't really stand out. The one year warranty is a little scary since many boards come with a minimum of 3 years. Costco has a Tommy Bahama kit that is also 11'6", but includes a kayak seat, double sided oar, electric pump, and is backed by a 5 year warranty. That kit is almost double the price of this one but I've seen many other brands advertised on Amazon with better accessories or warranties. For the price this board would be nice for a beginner looking for a more stable experience. They may want to upgrade a year or two if they enjoy the hobby. It's hard for me to recommend this board over some others I've seen on Amazon, but it's not a bad choice if stability is your main focus. ... show more
