I bought this used echo dot expecting it to look used or like-new. It looked brand new upon arrival (apart from the packaging, but that's not important) I've been using it for a few weeks and it's perfect. The sound quality is good for my bedroom. I selected the option for it to be linked to my account by Amazon, which made my setup process basically plug and play. Very easy setup. It has a great functionality, the color is great! And for those curious, you can adjust the brightness in the app or by voice, just ask for Alexa to set the brightness between 0-10, or turn off the clock completely. Definitely happy with this purchase!

Great sound from this little ball with a clock.. The bass is bassy in my 16x20 room and i have no distortion when at full volume.. clock brightness can be adjusted and speech recognition is excellent. I also love how Alexa is able to translate English to Spanish and vice versa to help me communicate with my friends. Only thing I do not like is that Alexa keeps trying to push music subscriptions on me and I have to keep saying no.. no means no Alexa.. lol Still, a great speaker and works even better by being able to link multiple Alexa devices together around the house and play music through all simultaneously.

To control different devices it is excellent, the sound is fabulous and the light on the screen adjusts perfectly to any level of daylight. The only thing I didn't like is that in my country it is not yet available to link Apple Music. Only Spotify. I would like there to be better security with voice recognition.

I love this little Echo dot. I bought it for my bedroom mostly for the clock and also to turn on music for when I am cleaning my bedroom. You can also play all kinds of games with it, and it's also great for very curious people, like me, who think of weird questions to ask right in the moment you think of it. Like, if I wonder what the population is in Dublin, I just ask and get an answer. If my spouse and I are arguing over a celebrity's age or place of birth, I can just ask it and win the argument :) It's like having a talking encyclopedia or a know-it-all friend right in the room!

Don't hesitate to purchase a refurbished model. This little dot has been perfect since received. I had another Echo 4th gen that was defective and brand new so I am now more inclined to try more refurbished items. Great service from Amazon and easy to setup and use, as well as troubleshoot if need be. Will purchase more now that I know I can save a bit.

Bought for the master bathroom. It has worked as advertised and we really enjoy the clock. The speaker is not a super loudspeaker but works really nice in a smaller room. Don't think it would do well in a large room. The echo studio would be a better choice for larger room.
