I’ve been using this face wash for a bit now, and it’s honestly pretty easy to like. It exfoliates without feeling rough or scratchy, which is huge for me because my skin gets irritated fast. It just feels like it’s gently cleaning things out instead of attacking my face. It starts out as a gel and then foams up when you wash, and my skin feels clean after but not tight or dried out. That’s usually my biggest issue with cleansers, so I was happy about that. My face actually feels soft afterward, not like I need to rush to put on moisturizer. I’ve also noticed it helps with rough spots and little breakouts without making things worse. No strong smell, no weird reactions — it’s just one of those “do your job and don’t cause problems” products. Basically, if you want a face wash that cleans well, lightly exfoliates, and doesn’t mess up your skin, this one’s been solid for me. ... show more

    • Not a daily cleanser for sensitive skin

Not a daily cleanser for sensitive skin but a magnificent exfoliater to gentle exfoliating facial wash if used in small amounts. It doesn't irritate or strip my skin as long as I use in small amounts and not daily, which is impressive considering I have rosacea, hence a litte extra sensitive. I use it once or twice a week and thats just right. When I use this exfoliating wash it leaves my face feeling clean, refreshed, and more importantly smooth. I find my skin doesn't feel as textured or oily yet it does so without leaving it dry flaky or patchy, which allows me to put makeup on much more smoothly. Blemishes are also kept in check. It's no miracle but it does help. I even found it works great to exfoliate my dry feet, leaving heals much more smoother. However, less is more with this product. Too much (I mean anything more than a pea size) dries out my skin which in turn activates flakes and boosts oiliness that then gets trapped with the dry flakes which in turn quickly flares up the blemishes. So quantity is key here. Also, note that this is not a foaming cleanser. At least it doesn't really foam up as much as I would like. I miss the big lathering feel and took a min to get use to lack of it. Although this is a good exfoliater I find that this cleanser struggles with washing off makeup completely, especially color correcters and foundation. You will need to use a gentle makeup remover first for better results. Overall, its a good exfoliating cleanser but I wish it was more foamy and strong enough to wash makeup on its own in one go, but since its not my daily cleanser it is not a deal breaker. ... show more

My husband and I both use the CeraVe Renewing Salicylic Acid Cleanser, and we absolutely love it. It’s become a staple in our skincare routines because it really works without irritating the skin. The formula feels gentle but effective. The salicylic acid helps exfoliate and keep pores clear, while the hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, and ceramides all help soothe and hydrate, so our skin doesn’t feel stripped or tight after washing. It’s definitely softer and smoother compared to other exfoliating face washes I’ve tried. I LOOOVVEEEE this product. I’ve had it for a few months now and it’s still quite a bit in my bottle because a little goes a long way. This evens out my skin tone and makes my face baby soft after each cleanse. It’s also VERY moisturizing. There’s no heavy scent either. I’ve noticed when I go a few days without using this cleanser my face becomes very dry and dull looking, but as soon( and I do mean AS SOON) as I use this cleanser my face is brighter, and more moisturized ( not oily).
