This has been a fun machine for me. Have been making i-cord since I got this over a week ago. Washed and dried some of the i-cord in sweater bags and it came out brighter. One of the yarns changed consistency and became a tighter knit. I cannot think of any other machine that can do what this machine does with so much knitting of i-cord and does it so well. Had occasion to contact customer support with a question and they are just wonderful. They are responsive and love to hear that their customers love their product. They are genuine and sincere.

I was pleasantly surprised that it works as advertised and its very easy to set up. Also impressed that is came with 2 sets of replacement hooks. Definitely recommend. I've had the manual icord maker for years and could never get it to work consistently without dropping stitches and this one works great and fast.

I bought this product because the manual/crank type is challenging to use for knitting entire skeins due to twisting. Right out of the box, this knitter is great. It feels substantial. The directions are clear. I knitted 6 skeins the first day. Fingering weight and worsted weight. Each weight of yarn knitted easily and relatively quickly. A 50 gram skein, at the lowest speed, took 30 minutes to knit. A 100 gram skein of worsted took about the same time at the middle speed. All the i-cords were evenly knit. I am very happy we ith this product. It has already saved me the headache of sorting out twisted, tangled i-cords. As I am crocheting these I-cords into other projects, having this efficient machine is a delight.

It works flawlessly! It makes a noise, of course, but it would not disturb someone in the next room. I used it and watch a hockey game on a tablet set up next to it. The instruction manual is clear. It has three speeds. I used sport weight yarn for my trials. I will admit that I have only had it for a couple weeks, so I cannot speak on how sturdy it is.

As advertised by all the influencers. Easy to use, stable, quick. Just need to screw in the arm before you can start. I was able to get exactly 22.5 yds from 407 yards of medium 4 acrylic yarn in 31 min at speed 3. I also have corded thread cotton, loops and threads value yarn, premier dollar tree yarn, as well as one of the small skeins it came with. Works well and stitch tension is nice. Always room for improvement which is why there is not a 5 rating; the sound being the drawback as if I want to hear the television I need to turn the volume up to hear. So if you have a sleeping baby that is sensitive or crafting at night, you would need to cord in another room. Of course the price dropped a week after I got mine but I’m happy with it and it lives up to the hype.

Overall, it works great! The feeding mechanism can be finicky, so you’ll definitely want to use center-pull balls of yarn and be sure to feed the machine from the inside of the ball and not the outside. I also recommend using your hand to feed the yarn through the tension knob at a 90 degree angle to keep it running smoothly, especially with lighter weight yarns. As for yarn weights that work with the machine: Lace: don’t. I didn’t even try it. Fingering/sock weight: works okay, but requires extra monitoring because the yarn will try to slip out of the tension knob. Sport weight: works fine, but can be a little slippery. DK weight: works the best so far. Worsted weight: works okay, but slow and steady wins the race. Don’t use the fastest setting. Anything heavier than worsted won’t work. I didn’t have any Aran weight around to try, but based on how the worsted trial went, I wouldn’t recommend it. Also, make sure to use yarn that is of a consistent thickness and is tightly plied. Loosely plied yarn, fluffy single plied yarn, thick and thin yarn, and novelty textured yarns are not a good idea. This includes the chenille-type yarns—they aren’t structurally stable enough. The instructions in the manual are a little confusing, so I would recommend watching a few YouTube videos to get started.
