The approved process for finishing our quality flannel sheets is an 8-leveled brushing standard. The cotton yarns are woven, then brushed 3 times on the face and once on the back, the fabric is then colored and or printed and finished with 3 additional brush treatments on the face and 1 on the back. This process ensures a comfortable, very soft and cozy finish. Sheet set includes one flat sheet, one fitted sheet, and two pillowcases (one for twin sizes). Sets contain a fully elasticized fitted sheet to prevent slipping from your mattress and ensure a perfect fit. My daughter wanted warmer sheets because I tend to prefer cool sheets to sleep. We always buy pottery barn 100% cotton percale or sateen or a high thread count. Well we live in Pennsylvania and it’s freezing but we dislike electric heat on in each bedroom during winter because A: it gets so hot inside a bedroom with doors closed and B: it’s dry even with humidifier on. So she said let’s try flannel sheets! We chose the EB brand because it’s self explanatory that they have always had quality clothing for winter so why not try 100% cotton flannel sheets! She washed them once a week and puts right back on. I need to grab her a second set and then we will be getting the percale 100% cotton for spring and summer! These are so affordable for the quality set of sheets she loves them! They are soft, not hot, the design is cute for winter with bears on them! This is my second set (Queen) of EB flannel sheets. I previously purchased a flannel sheet set off Amazon from a different brand (thinking I’d save a couple bucks) and they fit well, but were just nowhere near as soft as these EB ones even after multiple washings so I went back to them for just a few bucks more. First, these arrived without damage sealed in clear wrap with the navy bow and tag on them. They only had a light chemical smell to them which I’ve found on virtually every other brand of sheets I’ve purchased. I washed the set in two loads on delicate using Arm and Hammer free and clear detergent (less than I’d use on a normal load) along with about a quarter cup of white vinegar. I had no issues washing them and there was no vinegar smell once done. I then dried them, also in two loads on delicates using three wool dryer balls. I think the added vinegar helps with “the fluff” because there was at least half the amount of it I got from the previous flannel set I had. I checked the lint trap halfway through the cycle and there was only a little and then some more once they were complete. The set came out great and we tossed them on the bed. These flannel sheets are just way softer than our last set which always managed to feel somewhat stiffer. We have about a 16” mattress and the fitted sheet fits snug. I’d not want to get this set if you had a deeper mattress and I’d definitely be careful laundering if your mattress is in that 15-16” range. That occurred on our previous EB set and while the fitted sheet still goes on it is a very close fit and tends to pop off at times. So I highly recommend these with the caveat of knowing what your mattress will accommodate size wise. We have an older twin flannel sheet set from The Company Store and I’d say the EB ones aren’t quite to that level of feel/quality, but they’re not miles apart especially when you consider that the EB set is about 4 times cheaper. I also like the Woolrich flannel sheets but they’re not as deep as these even though I wouldn’t call these EB sheets super deep pocketed. ... show more

    • Not good on 18 inch mattress

I have had these sheets for 2 winters now. They are soft and comfortable and warm to sleep in. I like the restful color and nature pattern. Having said that, I also have a set of Tribeca Living flannel sheets that feel softer and thicker than these Eddie Bauer flannel sheets. Also, I have a very deep mattress, 18 inches. These said they fit mattresses up to 18 inches. But actually they barely hang on and require tugging back down. Hence the 4 stars instead of 5. I would recommend them for mattresses under 18 inches. However the tribeca living sheets that say they are for mattresses from 18-24 inches deep are the way to go if you have an 18 inch mattress. ... show more

These sheets are thick, heavy, and beautifully well-made. The fabric feels solid and substantial — in warm weather, the sheet alone could honestly double as a blanket. Any complaints I have come down purely to personal preference, not quality. This is a sound, well-constructed product that’s absolutely worth the money. That said… let’s talk real life. These sheets are very warm and extremely cuddly — too warm for anything above about 40° in my opinion. They are also… grabby. Like, commitment-level grabby 🐙. Depending on what pajamas you’re wearing, you may find yourself fighting for your life trying to roll over. These sheets want to cocoon you like a mummy. Sweatpants and flannel pajamas? Hard no. I’ve had the best luck with yoga pants, smooth cotton-nylon blends, or shorts. Because of that same grabby texture, they can also be rough on delicate hair. If your hair breaks easily, I wouldn’t recommend the flannel pillowcases without some protection. (A silk bonnet would be a very wise companion.) Overall, I really do love these sheets — but in central Texas, they may not be worth the price simply because our winters are short and mild. However, if you live somewhere with a real winter (temps below 35° that last longer than a week), these are absolutely worth it.
