Got this for my kitten so when we go to the vet to get check ups! Such great buy I'm so happy! Also She loves it!! Both sides open completely along with the two mesh front zippers open. you have many different options to how to get your pet in and out! Love alll the vented mesh so it's not too hot for her when summer comes! She's only going to be an indoor cat so this is amazing to have when I go for walks she can come with! I love the fact the back of the backpack comes out and extends and it's super roomy for her so she definitely will have time to grow into this! All zippers has security locks on them which is a plus in my book and aslo has an attached fleece bottom to the extended part so no extra padding to fold or anything like that also it makes it more comfy for her when the bag is closed up to have that fleece on the back of her and also so you don't feel claws lol. Also has a built in leash buckle in the bag so your pet can't accidentally escape! When you open the back up to extend the Bag it has buckles so it stays in place on the bottom of the bag and also when taking the back out it also has another security back that you have to unzip to allow kitty to go in the extended part so when you are setting up the extended part kitty doesn't come out until you unzip the back to allow your pet to go through! So that is pretty cool! Also has a pockets on the outside to add anything for your pet! And also has a buckle to go along your chest to add that extra support to carry your pet!! This a great pack for our 15 lb dog! It's super light weight and compact, and very well constructed with great details. My husband and I both found it comfortable to wear and once he got used to traveling around so high our dog seemed to be pleased and comfortable with it too. We love the soft padding inside to keep him comfortable and the clips on the zippers to keep them from accidentally opening while in use. It's really well designed and a perfect size both for carrying him around and then when opened out for a travel bed. He seems to like it and there are so many different doors and windows we had no trouble getting him in and out of the pack. Great design for a great price! ... show more

I have a mini dachshund who goes everywhere with me. With the length of his body it is very hard to find something to carry him in. I’ve tried so many slings and they were either uncomfortable for me or uncomfortable for him. I love how comfortable this is for both of us. This carrier is great! My new cat didn't panic, when I walked her to the mailbox in the backpack (first time out). It's very sturdy and comfortable on the back. I really like the thick straps. They don't cut into the shoulders. The chest strap is comfortable and adds added support when needed. The back open to a mesh area for more room. I love everything about this back pack, the back unzips and unfolds so my big tabby cat can lie down comfortably. Easily assessable from either side, love the pockets on the sides. The back pack itself is pretty light, and it can carry my big cat, and most of all my cat loves it, he eagerly gets in.

I have not used this in travel yet and will update on any wear and tear.
