Got this for my kitten so when we go to the vet to get check ups! Such great buy I'm so happy! Also She loves it!! Both sides open completely along with the two mesh front zippers open. you have many different options to how to get your pet in and out! Love alll the vented mesh so it's not too hot for her when summer comes! She's only going to be an indoor cat so this is amazing to have when I go for walks she can come with! I love the fact the back of the backpack comes out and extends and it's super roomy for her so she definitely will have time to grow into this! All zippers has security locks on them which is a plus in my book and aslo has an attached fleece bottom to the extended part so no extra padding to fold or anything like that also it makes it more comfy for her when the bag is closed up to have that fleece on the back of her and also so you don't feel claws lol. Also has a built in leash buckle in the bag so your pet can't accidentally escape! When you open the back up to extend the Bag it has buckles so it stays in place on the bottom of the bag and also when taking the back out it also has another security back that you have to unzip to allow kitty to go in the extended part so when you are setting up the extended part kitty doesn't come out until you unzip the back to allow your pet to go through! So that is pretty cool! Also has a pockets on the outside to add anything for your pet! And also has a buckle to go along your chest to add that extra support to carry your pet!! I highly recommend this bag to any pet lover!! You will love it! Added photos to everything so y'all can get an idea! I love everything about this bag!!! I was concerned my pet would be cramped but she had enough room to move around and she appears to like it better than her old hard carrier. I purchased this because I have two cats and it's difficult carrying two hard carriers, especially when one is a large cat. I'm able to carry one on my back and the other I pull. This carrier is great! My new cat didn't panic, when I walked her to the mailbox in the backpack (first time out). It's very sturdy and comfortable on the back. I really like the thick straps. They don't cut into the shoulders. The chest strap is comfortable and adds added support when needed. The back open to a mesh area for more room. All the zippers and clips seem to be decent quality and better than I expected. Being mostly mesh, it is sturdy but still flexible. I have not used this in travel yet and will update on any wear and tear. 5 stars is not enough for this animal carrier backpack! No detail was overlooked and this is the best dog backpack I have had. I was looking for a replacement after my old one ripped. There are SO many more features in this backpack that my old one didn’t have. I love the side openings. My old backpack had a top opening and you basically had to drop your dog in. With this one, the dog can walk in easily. Both sides and back unzip to allow a dog into the bag. The front has 2 smaller zipper features but not big enough for a pet to go into the bag. All the zippers are double zippers and each one has a clip on it to keep the dog from unzipping and escaping. The top of the bag has a sturdy handle so you can carry the bag with a dog inside easily. I love that you can unzip the bag and it folds completely flat to make it easy for storage or travel in a small packed car. The front has a flap where you can cover the dog if the dog is laying down sleeping or if the dog is awake you can actually roll the flap up so the whole front would be open mesh. The front and two sides of this backpack are open mesh so there’s plenty of airflow. The back of the backpack is padded and it has a chest strap and waist strap to make sure the backpack is secure. When you unzip the expandable portion, you can actually put a dog in the expandable portion and in the bag because there is a divider making it 2 separate areas. You can unzip the divider to make one large area where multiple small dogs can fit. This expansion also snaps into the bottom of the backpack to keep it from moving when the dogs are moving around. There is padding for the complete bottom of the backpack even when it’s folded down so your dog will stay comfortable. There is also a strap to hook to the collar to make sure your dog doesn’t move around inside the backpack too much. There are two pockets on the backpack. One is stretchy mesh so it’ll easily hold multiple water bottles and the other is a flat Velcro pocket where you can keep something from falling out of the backpack. This backpack also comes with a foldable water bowl that easily fits into the pockets. This backpack is the perfect size for small dogs. I have a Chug who is 12 years old and blind in one eye. She can’t keep up with my two younger dogs so she loves to go on hikes and ride in the backpack. She is very happy and comfortable in this new backpack. I absolutely recommend it!!! ... show more
