  • Still work great and had it for 8 years
Color: Natural&white
I love this thing. I know its odd to write a review 8 years later, but here I am. I bought it to fit in a very specific spot in my home I moved into in January 2016. I built it and it did exactly what I needed it to. Since then, I have moved 5 time, and re-arranged my house several times. This has been used as a kitchen counter, a breakfast table, a china shelf and now I use it to store my daughter toys so she has easy access to. Very sturdy and versitile 10/10. ... show more

  • High End Quality
Color: White & Cherry Natural
TOP QUALITY HANDS DOWN!!! The product arrived quickly, with no damage, no missing parts and I am an active 70-year-old senior and put it together in an hour taking my time sipping on my glass of Riesling. The cherry wood top is BEAUTIFUL! I contemplated this product for about a week looking at others and l am very satisfied with my choice. ... show more

  • We absolutely love this piece for our kitchen
Color: Natural&white
Super sturdy amazing wood. Stable color is great easy to put together. Does not weigh more than 20 pounds. The height is as tall as my kitchen cabinets so it aligned perfectly.

  • Good price/quality ratio. But be aware of what you are buying.
Color: Natural&white
I bought three of these in Natural/White: two of the 40 inch ones and one of the 22.75 inch ones. One of the larger ones and the smaller one are being used against a kitchen wall for extra storage; the additional larger one is being used as a center island. This is a 1950's kitchen that gets limited natural light and has soft-glow bulbs to round out the aesthetic (I mention that because it will be important later on). Overall price was just a bit North of $300. These were replacing hand-me-downs that I had held on to for far too long. The product(s) arrived well-packaged. Unpacking them was easy. All of the parts were in the box (including a few extra screws and plugs), as were the instructions. Said instructions were easy to decipher. While you need to supply a screw driver for some of the assembly, a trusty hex key/wrench is also supplied and needed for the bulk of the process. Overall assembly time for each product was approx. 40 minutes, with some breaks and what have you. What do I like? These have a nice, clean, design. They are made of solid wood (but more on that later). The top, which isn't a butcher block and shouldn't be used as a cutting board, is hefty enough. Once assembled, they don't have that wobble that a lot of other, particle board type of cheapo stuff, has. The drawers slide easily (but more on that later). Once placed where they needed to be, they gave off the look of far better kitchen furniture (esp. at a distance). Fine by me. What don't I like? Solid wood doesn't mean quality. So pay attention to the weight restrictions listed on the description, esp. as regards the lower two shelves. Because they are slat-style, there is a chance that placing too much weight on either shelf will lead to cracks/breaks. It probably would have been better if those shelves had a middle/cross-bracketing piece underneath them, given the brittle/thin slats. How do I know this? I placed an eight-bottle wine rack on the lowest shelf. In so doing and adjusting, I heard the faintest creak. When I checked, there was no clear break in the middle slat (at least viewing it from the top). But it did have more 'give' to it. That was fixed by placing a small block of spare wood underneath it as a brace (and, thankfully, it can't be seen). It is also the case that other parts also have very brittle wood, particularly the pieces that make up the drawers. So be careful screwing in the bolts, as even a slight mis-alignment can lead to some splitting. There is also a curious design flaw relating to the drawers. On the right hand side of the islands, there is no upper-screw used to secure the front panel to the side panels. As a result, once assembled, the drawers (on all three pieces) tend to shift to the left side of the island, creating a visible gap on the right side when you look at it straight-on. You can wiggle them to make them sit more flush. But opening and closing the drawers once again makes that gap on the right side apparent . . . until you wiggle it again. Not a deal-breaker (nor is the fact that, as others have noted, these are not high-quality drawers meant for heavy objects). But it is obvious if you are looking for it. Speaking of which, the white paint is not uniform. There are blemishes and rough spots. Again, if you are looking for those sorts of things, you will see them. A lot of them? No. But QC on this aspect of the production is clearly lacking. Thankfully, my kitchen doesn't have bright lights to spotlight those sorts of defects. Overall, I think most of the other reviews are fair. I would say, though, that some are not accurate or, perhaps, typical. The legs don't wobble. At least not on mine (and I realize that, given the QC issues noted above, that may vary). You complained about the height? How is that the seller's fault? The height is listed . . . and accurate. You clearly bought the wrong item and then complained about it here? Hmm. That's on you. You expected an heirloom quality product at this price? You were only kidding yourself. So don't take it out on the seller. Damage to the top, the legs, or any other part of it? You realize the seller doesn't send these to you in a custom built trailer that his parents drive to your door? I have to assume that most cases of damage occur in transit. So, whose fault? Amazon drivers (or those paid to deliver Amazon products). So you need to speak to Amazon about that and, hopefully, get replacement parts or a refund. But I can understand frustration if you are sent a product that was returned and then sent out again, or if you find pieces missing. This is a frustrating thing (has happened to me too). So, sigh, you again have to deal with customer service. But, from my experience, both sellers and Amazon are willing to help you resolve the issue . . . if you address it in a respectful manner. All in all, you get that for which you paid. In this instance, I feel good about the purchase. Just don't go in thinking "Wow, I got a deal" only to grumble about it later. I think most people will be okay with this product so long as they keep the price/quality ratio in mind. ... show more

  • Functional and attractive
Color: Natural&white
Using this for my espresso machine/ coffee station. Weight limit is 100 pounds and my machine alone weighs about 70, so I’m guessing it will eventually warp. However, for now, it’s kind of perfect and amazing, (and the price is certainly right!). The drawer is very wide, the full length of the table, but shallow. Nonetheless, I found it extremely useful for all the odds and ends that go with an espresso machine, (cups, instructions, cleaning cloths, bags of beans, etc.) It’s quite sturdy, and I’m hoping it will last, until I have the funds to redo my kitchen and make a proper coffee station on a solid counter. ... show more

  • Easy to put together
Color: Natural&white
I needed to use my screwdriver in addition to the Allen wrench provided to put together. Looks very nice. The top is very sturdy and the wood top looks good. The bottom shelves can hold a lot but I’m careful with how much weight I store on them. Very good for the price.

  • Well Made & Easy to Assemble
Color: Natural&white
This island is perfect for my living space and was very quick to assemble. The instructions were well explained as well as having drawings showing the process. It took this 70+ year old lady an hour to assemble. For the first time ever in assembling things, every pre-drilled hole lined up PERFECTLY. It was made in Taiwan; and as well as looking nice, it also is heavy and a solid piece for the money. ... show more
