I bought this along with 2 side tables and the matching sofa table. These are great deals for the money and deserve 5 stars and have a great rustic look. I want to just point out a few things that I noticed just so people know what they are buying though. This is pine wood so the tops will dent fairly easily. The top surface has a decent coat of polyurethane on top to protect the wood but the legs and bottom do not appear to have any finish. I actually like this look but it leaves the wood susceptible to stains and scuffs. Also, the legs and bottom are quite rough, again adding to the look, however you could seriously get a splinter on these. I ended up sanding the legs and bottom and wiped on a coat of satin polyurethane to provide more protection and make the table safer. It looks like the polyurethane top has been blow torched when adds more contrast to the pine grain and looks very nice. Assembly was easy but there were some pretty big size variations in the legs I received. One was particularly thick and one was quite thin. It didn't bother me once it was in place in the room because, again, its meant to look rustic. I also ended up having to place an extra felt pad under one leg because of wobble but you cant tell from looking at it. Even with these small issues, its really a fantastic deal for the money and I would buy again. ... show more

We ordered this for a cabin we recently purchased. We have basically been coming up a few times a month to work on the place so this is not being used or abused at the moment. It arrived with some scratches but given the price and hassle to send back it back I kept it. It looks cute but the wood is now splitting and each time we come the splits are worse. We checked for issues like possibly screws being too tight, etc, but there is no apparent reason for the splitting. We purchased it approx 6 months ago. The first photo show one side which is how the whole table looked when we received it. Second picture shows the large scratch it had when it arrived. Third photo shows the splitting.     • Not super heavy duty but looks darn good.
Not too bad to put together (I bought the end table and the couch table too). The finish is quite thin and not very durable so I put 2 coats of verathane (or urethane, I can't remember, lol) over everything and now it will last and has a more protective coating. I'm not a big coaster fan for drinks, lol. Don't buy these if you think they are going to be heavy duty wood. They are a very light weight pine wood, but they look fabulous and can handle some weight when assembled. I have a 30 lb. marble salmon sitting on the table and it is solid. ... show more

    • Once built it looks great
The table had a great delay in delivery and was a pain to put together. The box came smashed and there was styrofoam everywhere. The table top had a scratch in it but it's going in a cabin themed room for teens to play video games so we aren't too worried about it. The directions aren't great. My hubs and I are pretty quick with putting together furniture and this took us almost 2 hours to do. The holes weren't lining up and it really takes two people to put together. We bought the "clear" natural table and it looks great. The bottom "shelf" is nice to hold blankets. The bottom of the table is not varnished so it will "pick" at the blankets. ... show more

After reading all the reviews I wasn't quite sure what to expect when this arrived. The description is a stretch. The "logs" are not real heavy pine logs but they are are sufficient for what it is. This is made in China stuff. If you want quality, handcrafted, real deal log furniture that Billy bob made in the mountains or something you're gonna have to spend more. It is a beautiful table although not the sturdiest. I do find the 400 pound weight limit funny. I wouldn't even attempt to sit on this table. It will meet your practical needs. Very handsome, sturdy, functional coffee table. Assembly was very easy in under an hour with only a screwdriver and rubher mallet. Parts have minor, naturally occurring hairline cracks and blemishes which enhance the rustic appearance without compromising stability. There is a light lacquer finish but i'm going to add another coat since the the pine is very soft and mars easily. Size is perfect with very adequate bottom storage. I do recommend using a rubber mallet to gently tap pieces into place to ensure proper seating before attaching permanently with screws. All assembly hardware and easy to follow assembly instructions were included. ... show more

While I was assembling the table I noticed that each piece of the table was very light in weight. Almost as if it’s made of balsa wood. One section must have been defective because the peg snapped off into the joint. On closer look I notice the peg or dowel was machined by the knot of the tree. Which makes it a weak point on its own. The quality of the table with the type of wood wouldn’t allow me to recommend it. We returned the table for a full refund. ... show more
