Not really it was too firm and I wasn't too happy. I beat the hell out of the Pillow and this Pillow is now fantastic. If you want it firm follow the video and pull the opposite corners a lot. This pillow is the total package. A family member started showing me deals on cheaper pillows that looked similar and I actually ordered them as well to compare. I found they just werent as firm or well built as the casper. I'd buy another one of these if I needed it. Personally, if the pillow or any device that you need for a good night's sleep is affordable it is not worth going for something cheaper and inferior because sleep is just that important. They're soft and don't seem to flatten like others, but I feel like they don't plump back up like they said they would. Perfect size and fullness. There isn’t any empty space in my pillow shams. And I love that the pillow cover zips off I don't think I’ll use that feature but I presume you can add a cooling element or makes it easy to clean. Great quality for the price.

I’ve been trying to find the right pillow for way too long. It’s just impossible to go to a store and tell whether a pillow is going to suit you. Plastic wrappings, lousy, icky samples, I just could never seem to end up with a good choice. So when this one was promoted to me via Amazon (not sure how that works - algorithms?), I read all I could find and it sounded like a match. I was replacing an old pillow that was just a sack of mush, but it was a sack of mush I could kinda mold to my side-sleeping ways. And it stunk. Thus I liked the idea of a pillow that could be taken apart, used it a couple of different ways, and which could go in the WASHER AND THE DRYER!!! it was love at first, well, uh, it was just love. And my hunch or reading or whatever paid off. This pillow is squishy on the outside and has a supportive core. I’m still breaking it in, and it says to take it apart and fluff it once a week, so I’m still dancing around a final commitment here, but I very much like where this seems to be headed. More often than not, my attempts led to disappointment. It was on one of these occasions that Amazon's algorithms – or perhaps just plain luck – introduced me to the Casper Original Pillow. At first glance, the pillow seemed promising. My previous pillow, although familiar, had become nothing more than a sack of mush. But this very sack of mush allowed me to mold it to my side-sleeping needs, despite its deteriorating state and, I hate to admit, its lingering smell. In contrast, the Casper pillow offered a refreshing change. Boasting a design that allows for disassembly, the ability to adapt to various sleeping positions, and the absolute convenience of being both washable and dryer-friendly, it appeared to be everything I was searching for. Upon receiving it, I was immediately smitten. The pillow's exterior was soft and squishy, yet it concealed a supportive core that promised both comfort and durability. Although it's still in its 'breaking-in' phase, the instructions suggest fluffing it once a week, hinting at its adaptability.
