  • Excellent value and investment.
Color: Black
I have been playing piano since I was 8 years old. In 2005 I was in a wreck and became wheelchair bound and unable to play anymore. Since then, I have missed the experience of playing so much. I haven't played at all in all these years. My husband surprised me with this Casio Px 870 and it is wonderful. I am having to learn all over again and am now in my sixties. But, I am enjoying every moment of this experience. The sound is wonderful and the feel of the keys is so much like a regular piano; I can barely tell a difference. I am so delighted with this instrument and to have playing music back in my life! ... show more

  • Simple but great
Color: Black
Piano sounds fantastic and comes with enough features that moves it a little beyond just an electric piano. Assembly was easy, however you may need a second person to help towards the end as the product is indeed heavy. It plays absolutely wonderfully, it sounds wonderful, and comes with a handful of piano fonts that lets you vary it up. It's sturdy and does not feel cheap. Just an all around great electric piano. ... show more

  • Great sound
Color: Black
The most important thing to me was not to get a poor sound. Granted, nothing will ever top the real thing. But this piano has the resonance and richness I was hoping to find. The keys are weighted and feel right. The sound fills the room. I put it together alone and that was kinda difficult. With two people it would be incredibly easy. All and all very, very satisfied with my purchase. ... show more

  • The quality of the actual piano keyboard seems great. The keys look
Color: Black
This is my first piano and I have no experience playing. Thus I do not have anything to compare it to. I choose the Casio PX870 because I wanted my money to go towards quality of the core piano functionality and not towards bells and whistles. The quality of the actual piano keyboard seems great. The keys look, feel, and play great. While I do not pretend to have a great ear I feel like the tonal quality is very good. The quality of the cabinet/stand is just OK. It is flat pack laminated fiber board. Of course I expected this and I was not surprised. It is not unpleasant to look at and I do not mind it in my living room. The plastic caps provided to cover the recessed screws and bolts where absolute garbage though. Very thin plastic that was warped and torn and did not fit. Of course this is a trivial detail that can be fixed for probably $1-2 at a hardware store. Just a bit annoying. The foot pedal bar is just a bit raised off the floor and thus causes a noise as it bends down and hits the hardwood floor when I apply pedal pressure. This probably would not be a problem with a carpet. This may be uneven floors in a old home but the actual piano is stable so I suspect its not the floors. It is easily addressed by a thin shim under the pedals. The USB port will not charge my old 4th gen iPad. This ipad is around 5 years old now and I had intended on keeping it on the music stand as a dedicated device for the piano. It would have been nice to be able to leave it plugged into the piano and not have to worry about battery charge. I thought this meant the USB port was not providing power of any sort but this is not true. It can power my iPhone just fine. I realize the primary purpose of this port is a USB thumb drive to record to. The USB ports are annoying to get to. It would have been nice to have them more accessible. All in all I am very pleased with the purchase. My complaints here are mostly nit picking mixed with a bit of snobbishness. The piano itself is great and thats the most important part. ... show more

  • Youtube it for assembly
Color: Black
Great instrument for the money. We wanted an actual small baby grand piano, but we have forced air heat and we were told we would have to tune it 5 times a year at about $400 per tuning. Not ok. It sounds great and the keys are weighted like a real piano. Much music built in, and you can add more. My son has been taking lessons for 2 years and loves it. It doesn't have the charisma or furniture status of real baby grand, so if that's what you want look to Yamaha or Baldwin. But you will spend a lot more. A lot. O, and the directions for assembly are bad, so look to You Tube. Lots of assembly videos there. Best of luck. ... show more

  • Good piano experience, get white if you have a lot of white furniture
Color: White
Having no musical instruments, got this as a new hobby to get me off my screens. It’s half the cost of a laptop from the popular tech company named after a fruit! I went with white even though it’s not a popular option since I had decided that my work room furniture is going to be all white. Black would have annoyed me for years to come even if it would be easier to resell later on. This really is a piece of furniture. It does not take up too much space but it helps to make space for it. It’s very enjoyable to play on. I have no basis for comparison and probably spent too much on this new hobby but it’s a pleasure to use whether I’m spending time learning piano, just having fun stringing up random melodies, or needing an indoor escape from digital screens. ... show more

  • Piano sounded great but in less than a year is not working anymore
Color: Black
Great sound, but in less than a year it doesn't turn on anymore and the after market service is TERRIBLE. I really took care of this instrument but now is worthless. Never buying Casio again

  • This is a great purchase for beginners and pros alike.
Color: Black
I love this piano, this is my first piano/digital piano I have ever owned. I want a nice quality piece and this is it. The keys are a bit on the heavier side when your press them down tho, so your fingers will get a workout. I'm told that is to mimic the feel of a grand piano tho. the construction is really well done and sturdy. all around I would recommend if you have the money. ... show more
