Finally found an excellent quality clear polycarbonate case with an open-bottom so I can dock my iPhone 12 Pro Max on my Lightning Boombox and Lightning Clock Radio without having to remove the case every time I want to use it by the pool or on my nightstand. The only other clear hard case with an open bottom that I could find was the Apple MagSafe case for $50, which is ridiculous (plus it got bad reviews). I literally have searched hundreds of cases online until I ran across this one. I found several that were open on the bottom but they were not transparent. I wanted to see the beautiful blue color of the iPhone, not cover it up. I had a casemate barely there case years ago on my old iPhone 4 and totally forgot they made a case like this. What I don’t understand is there are dozens of open-ended cases for the iPhone 11 Pro Max out there, but only a few for the iPhone 12 Pro Max. I realize most people primarily use Bluetooth and WiFi for audio connectivity nowadays (which I use a lot too), but I still like using my portable boombox and clock radio. Another purchase from Case-Mate! When I purchased the iPhone 12 Pro Max I immediately knew I wanted to get a case from Case-Mate because I know they are great quality, and decided to go with the Clear and saw the option for Clear Tough which offered 15ft drop protection as well as anti-yellowing which I am curious to know if it works. Pros: Great Casemate quality as usual. Doesn’t add much to the silhouette of the phone and showcases the phone beautifully. It’s nice and smooth and the buttons (once you figure out how to kinda manage them into the case properly) are very nice and are actually clear too. Low profile logo, and fantastic feeling in your hand. Cons: On my case, there were several spots of what I would guess are plant based/colored specks. Made the case look dirty, and seemed to already have a few scratches on the case? And In the process of trying to take those specks off I learned it wasn’t dust or dirt but in fact inside the plastic so I ended up adding a ton of scratches to the case, making it look old. So it definitely scratches easily. Overall I would suggest this product but don’t be surprised when this plant material has specks in it and the plastic isn’t totally clear. ... show more

This case is amazing. Seriously. It’s extremely thin, but can easily hold 6 cards tightly, as well as the couple bills I have from time to time. The case appears quite durable. All in all a great design, and it was frustrating to have to spend so much time on Amazon looking for something like this. Most cases like this only can hold 2-3 cards and are overly bloated for no reason. Who cares about needing a magnetic lock anyway, it gets in the way and gets destroyed by the pocket over time. I’ve had cases where hotel cards would get demagnetized by it in the past, so I’m much happier having a magnet-free style case like this. ... show more

This product is called the protection pack but it doesn’t protect everything you want to.... I’ve had hard cases before from Casemate and they’ve been great but this one doesn’t even compare to those. This case is thin enough that it doesnt provide any protection at all for the camera. The lenses of the 12 Pro Max jut out of the case making it susceptible to damage when dropped. ... show more

I like the case, only reason I didn’t keep it is that there is no lip over the camera lenses. iPhones lenses aren’t flush to the phone, they protrude out, if I kept this case the lenses would hit the table, desk, or ground if dropped. I was worried my lenses would scratch if sent down on a countertop. I ordered a different one that as the bump around the camera part. I love this case so much that I bought one for my sister as well. The case looks clear, but when you attach it.... the camo design shows more distinctly. Since the camo design is clear, it’s a subtle design that’s not too bold. The case fits perfectly and I have no problem accessing the side buttons or charging hole.
