I recently switched to the Cascade Platinum Plus Dishwasher Pods in the Clean Scent 62 count and I can confidently say this is the best dishwashing detergent I have ever used. These pods take the stress out of doing dishes and truly make a difference in how clean and spotless everything comes out. From the very first wash I noticed how powerful they are. Everything from glassware to pots and pans came out looking brand new. Even those stubborn baked-on stains that usually need soaking or scrubbing were completely gone without any extra effort. One thing I love about the Platinum Plus formula is how it handles grease. I don’t even pre-rinse anymore which saves so much time. I can load the dishwasher exactly the way things look after cooking or eating place a pod inside and it takes care of the rest. My dishes come out shiny streak-free and with no leftover residue. The Clean Scent is also perfect. It is not too strong or artificial just fresh enough to let you know everything is truly clean. The pods themselves dissolve perfectly every single time even in quick wash cycles. There is no leftover film no half-dissolved pod stuck in the dispenser and no cloudy buildup on glasses. They dissolve quickly, even in shorter cycles, and they cut through grease, baked‑on food, and cloudy residue without needing a pre‑rinse. Glasses come out clear, silverware looks polished, and the whole load has a fresh, clean scent. I also appreciate that the pods don’t leave behind any gritty film or streaks, which is something cheaper detergents struggle with. One pod per load is all it takes, and the 62‑count pack lasts a good while. If you want a detergent that actually delivers on “no pre‑wash needed,” this one does the job beautifully.

I decided to try the Cascade Platinum Plus pods after hearing good things, and I’m glad I did because they really do make a difference. The pods are super convenient and mess-free — just pop one in and you’re done. I’ve used them on dishes with dried-on food and even on cloudy glasses, and everything came out looking shiny and spotless. I also appreciate that the scent is subtle and clean, not strong or chemical-smelling. The pouch is easy to store, and the pods fit perfectly in my dishwasher’s dispenser without sticking or crumbling. The fact that these are phosphate-free and help prevent hard water film is another plus for me. If there’s one thing I’d improve, it’s the packaging seal — I wish it were a bit tighter or resealable like a zipper. But aside from that, the performance is impressive. I used to run an old 80s dishwasher that was barely hanging on. With Finish tabs, it was honestly frustrating. If anything wasn’t basically pre-washed going in, it would come out with food still stuck on it. Not like “oops missed a spot” either — actual bits of food still on plates. I got used to having to re-run loads or just wash stuff by hand because I couldn’t trust it to actually get the job done. Switched to Cascade pods and even on that old machine it was a noticeable improvement. Less leftover food, less of that white film, and fewer loads I had to redo. Still not perfect because the dishwasher itself was junk, but at least it felt like the detergent was actually helping instead of just… existing. Now with a newer dishwasher, it’s a completely different story. With Finish, I’d still occasionally find dishes that didn’t feel fully clean or had stuff left behind. With Cascade, that basically doesn’t happen. It doesn’t seem to matter if the dishes go in lightly dirty or pretty crusty they come out clean. About the only precare I do is make sure the big chunks of food are off, but that's only because the filter. I have full faith that these pods would still be able to remove it. It’s just more consistent. Clean dishes, no residue, no weird film, no surprises. I’ve also had better results with Cascade rinse aid compared to Finish Jet-Dry, especially for spotting and drying. Overall: Finish was frustrating, especially with the old dishwasher. Cascade actually cleans reliably. I’m not going back.

These work great for getting the sticky foods off the dishes that never got rinsed before making it into the dish washer. Dishes are always clean afterwords. The only cons are some leak and then they start to clump up and each one you grab opens a new hole for the next. Always reach in with dry hands as well so the water doesn’t dissolves the outside of the others
