My 7yr old son loves it. He’s never skated before and after 3 days he’s already ready to take the handle off. Taking off 1 stars though because ours didn’t come with any of the extras listed. Not sure how to get those from the seller… Update: seller reached out and sent replacement parts. Overall a really great beginner setup and good for lightweight riders. My son is 60lbs and he prefers this over my CX and C7 boards because it is loose enough to turn well for someone lightweight.

Update: The customer service provided by the seller was outstanding. They remained extremely patient and attentive throughout the process until my main issue was resolved, which was that I couldn't lift the handler. The seller sent a new product and detailed instructions and images to assist with this. In fact, after resolving the issue, I realized there was never a problem with the original skateboard; it was simply that I didn't know how to operate it. The skateboard works perfectly without any issues. I would suggest including a user manual for people like me who might not understand how the product works initially. ————————————————————- The skateboard arrived pre-assembled but without any instructions. I was unable to straighten the handle because the bolts are so tight that trying to unscrew them damages them. I'm super disappointed, as my child was eagerly waiting for this skateboard.

My 7 yr old just rode it for the first time since it was a present and the handle just snapped off and broke causing him to fall and get pretty banged up

Within one month of purchase, the bar mechanism is broken because metal components snapped. Quality of materials and design questionable. That said, company was very responsive and displayed excellent customer service by sending replacement.

i am super impressed with this. it has smooth wheels and wide board for good stability, you can tighten the trucks to tighten the turns. it came with a skate tool and rubber gum, and grease. to raise or lower the bar to a collapsed position, pull the little black thing up. theres a video on here that shows a guy doing it.

I am an avid longboarder and I have a lot of experience with skating gear from that perspective. While I'm definitely aware of "surf-skating" I don't currently own a high quality surf skate to really compare this board to (so keep that in mind when reading my opinions). I have skated carvy trucks - sidewinders (dual kingpin trucks) which provide a very surfy skating experience - but a true surf skate like this, is a different thing altogether. This surf skate is equipped with TKP skateboard hangers, mounted on a swiveling baseplate in the front, and a large riser in the back to accommodate the height increase in the front (while providing some stability). Since this is a true surf skate, if you aren't careful when you step on the skateboard - you can easily tip the front truck to the side and end up falling. It takes a minute to re-position your weight and to get used to it. The surf skate movement/action on this board is quite nice - the skateboard pumps and turns very well. There are a few quality issues which I consider minor/cosmetic but I will list them just in case it matters more to you: 1) The grip tape leaves something to be desired (both in alignment and in quality) 2) The included small child pads - while a nice bonus are confusing. 3) The light-up wheels are a bit gimmicky but they do work. I believe this surf-skateboard is actually fairly decent, and will give the rider a good beginner surf skate experience. However, I would not recommend this as a first skateboard for kids. So given the addition of a small pad set, and the included "light-up" wheels, it might confuse the buyer. If you are a teen or adult who wants to try a surf skate - this isn't a terrible option. However, if you are a parent/child and you are looking for a kids first skateboard - I don't believe this is a good option. Components: Deck - solid wooden standing platform, good quality, no defects that I can see Trucks - Good quality TKP hangers/bushings - defect free Wheels - Good quality 82a duro - good for pumping/turning (decent grip) and light-up! Bearings - Decent abec bearings - spins freely with acceptable speed. Rating: 4-stars! Have fun and please wear a helmet!
