Now that I have your attention, I should say that this set of cables will enable you to transfer a lot of amps worth of voltage - such as, for example, starting a car with a flat battery, presuming _you_ have one in good condition! And, speaking from experience (the reason I had to order these!), if you allow someone else with less experience to connect the clamps to the wrong end of where you want to obtain power for YOUR start, it will be shockingly soon that the insulation will melt as the cables inside heat up. But, careful application of the clamps, black to an engine part, and red to the positive terminal on both of your (your and the person you're helping) batteries, will readily deliver all your donor application has to offer. My first use, not having a need for jumpstarting a motor, was to verify my boat trailer's lights, as it appeared that perhaps there'd been a failure along the way. Even though I'd confirmed that the output from my car's 4-prong plug showed one of those prongs to be inactive, as it was the first time I'd used that tool, and I'd not yet had the opportunity to take my car back to the dealer who installed the part, under its 2-year warranty, I worked out a means of using them to put the needed voltage to the 3 points used to light various lamps, and the other to go to the ground port on the trailer light connection. Anyone who's had a crossed connection knows how it's likely to make your heart stop, but since I have a pacemaker, I forged on ahead (if my heart had stopped my pacemaker would have boot-restarted it). Just kidding - sort of - as the worst which might happen were some sparks and perhaps a melted wire. But I made a kludge for the ground port (a 6.5mm drill bit fit perfectly) which allowed me to mount the negative clamp securely out of the way of any contact with the positive clamp. Careful administration of the clamp to each of the positive nibs showed the appropriate lamps to be lit. And now I have - in it's capacious provided bag - the means to assist anyone else who might need a jump - or to have my own cables to offer to a helpmeet should I ever find myself with my OWN flat battery. I got the 6GA cables as a compromise between affordable and powerful. 0GA is good for starting bulldozers, and 12GA for starting riding lawnmowers and maybe motorcycles. This works for us with under-4-liter displacement cars, and a 5-liter displacement boat. You can buy all of those cable-dimensioned jumper cables from Amazon; if you've read this far, likely you know how to take advantage of those realities ☺

I have not used the jumper cable yet, but it cables feel heavy and strong and not flimsy. I will update once used. It arrived on time. It also came with a wire brush to clean battery posts. Nice.

After several failed attempts to jump a tractor and side x side off with cheap cables I got my new cables out. Made a difference. Got both started right away. Long enough to reach opposite side. Will be investing in another pair to stay at the camp.

I purchased them for a new car. One of those things you hope you never have to use. But the quality is excellent and I appreciate the extras that are not included with most - a small wire brush and a sturdy generously sized storage bag.
