I didn’t realize how inconvenient a clamshell suitcase was until I used this one with a top opening. It can be put on a suitcase rack in a hotel room, and if you need to get something out of it while in the airport, you don’t have to find 4 square feet of space and then open it up for everyone in the airport to see your underwear that fell out of the elastic belt. The extra pocket on the front is also super helpful. On top of that, the wheels roll so smoothly that it is a pleasure to push beside you. Fingers crossed that it lasts.

I love this suitcase. Small but deep so it hold a lot. I bought it so I don't have to open my entire carryon to get my laptop. It's sturdy and good wheels so easer to manoevre. It's not light weight but neither is it heavy.

I love the avocado green color!! I tried to pack my laptop plus a second flat screen. They both fit in the front compartment, but anything you pack in there takes away room in the inner compartment so you can’t pack that too full or you won’t be able to close the bag. This is also true of any bag that has storage in the top flap of the bag. The wheels were great, and very smooth and easy to maneuver. With the bag opening at the top instead of in the middle, I will need to learn how to pack this bag. I found that the corners of the bag were hard to pack, and I will need to learn how to fill those corners in order to get all of the things I need in this bag. I used packing cube normally, but because I used this for a short trip I didn’t bother to use my packing cubes. I think the cubes will make it easier to fill those corners. My biggest issue with the bag, is the handle. I have a bag with a trolley sleeve, and this handle catches on that sleeve when trying to remove the bag. I just know, when I am on a plane, I will not want to have to fuss with trying to remove my bag from the handle and having to use two hands to try and get the trolley sleeve to slip over the handle. Quality is good for the price. Zippers seem fairly sturdy but there is no way to expand the size if you need it like other bags that open in the center. I personally rarely used that feature on my other bag since I use these to carry on, and expanding it would make it difficult to fit the required airline size for carry on.

Really fab little carry-on! Loved the quality, the durability, and sturdiness--I did actually sit on it a few times and felt totally secure. It got a few scuffs when it had to be gate checked but most of them buffed out with the included sponge; a little scrape on an edge happened but to be honest I expected waaaaaaay worse. The handles and hardware are smooth, the zipper held up even when it was stuffed and a bit askew (my packing fault, not the item). Lock worked well too without any fussing. Really pleasantly surprised and would consider buying other sizes. The only hitch was that in some overhead bins I had to move it to a corner, with the wheels positioned towards the center of the overhead otherwise the bin wouldn't latch (if the wheels were towards ends of bin). It happened three times and worked when positioned that way so I don't think it was a fluke (both domestic and international overheads across 7 legs). It was a bit wide/tall to carry on top of a checked bag but I did manage it a few times, it would be nice to have a hook or strap or something to stack if ever desired but that's just a nice-to-have, in all other aspects it's overall a great bag and I'd take it for chicness/looks on quick trips over my all-time standbys of Travelpro.

I have been using travel lugguage for over 50 years. This is my all time favorite, mainly because of the lid type opening (I can't stand clam shell opening lugguage). It's easy to roll, easy to lift overhead (and I'm short), fits in aircraft lugguage bin easily, and overstuffed well and maintains its structural composure even after traveling over stuffed. Zippers work great and I love the locking capability! This is so great, even my family decided to buy their own after watching me with mine.

So the most common size limit is 22x14x9. Though many airlines sizer is slightly bigger than the stated dimensions, I wanted one I was sure would fit so I wanted the slightly smaller case, but didn’t realize this would have a depth of 9.5. This would still likely work for most domestic airlines, but since the depth limitation on most international budget airlines is 8 inches, I wanted something under a 9 inch depth at most to be safe. My fault I wasn’t super careful about watching the specs. It’s a pretty cool case otherwise.
