If you like the smell of DDT, you will be very pleased. Don't keep them in the house prior to install. Wash your hands very well after install, then, wash them again, because they will still smell like the mosquito spray you knew as a kid. That said, they're real glass and you can modify them to work pretty well. Like a previous reviewer recommended, I went ahead and bought some decent bulbs in advance. I took the chintzy reflector out and used painted tip bulbs to replace the chintzy bulbs that came with them. Undo the screws holding the reflector in, turn the reflector 1/2 turn and it will come out. I left the chintzy (blue) secondary lamp installed but didn't connect it, used stock connectors with no modifications. Did not use plugs that came with headlamps. They fit my 1996 Tacoma perfectly, I got the black version and they look nicely understated, not too blingy, just right. If it wasn't for the nearly overwhelming smell of insecticide I'd have given them 5 stars. ... show more

Alright the lens are awesome for the money But the bulbs they can with are shit both were messed up weather a bad seal from the glass to the metal base or just didn’t work what so ever. I recommend you order some leds when buying these

Didn't bother with the lights that came with it. I also took day lights out of them.i used these in a 86 k5 cucv m1009.the headlight buckets had to be massaged to accommodate these lights. Mainly bought these because it's getting harder to find regular glass headlights

    • Awesome price for the quality.
Worked in my 97 xj. Price is awesome but you have to do a couple things to make them great. 1. Toss the bulbs they come with and get some extra bright ones of your choice and make sure the bulb has the painted tip. The supplied bulbs where so dim because of the blue paint on them that I would have been better off with glow sticks. 2. Remove the light defuser shields. They’re held in with 2 Philips head screws. Carefully work the shield out, it only comes out 1 way. Since you got the bulbs with the painted tips you don’t have to worry about blinding oncoming drivers. Adjust them properly or you will annoy other drivers! The body seems to be made out of some type of thick fiberglass resin and the lenses are indeed glass. I didn’t have to do anything with my wiring just plug them in. I considered the LEDs a bonus I didn’t hook them up though. I didn’t have to do anything with my wiring just plug them in. ... show more

The price is good, but not worth it. You'd be better off installing flashlights for headlights tbh. I installed these on an 86 f250. I can confidently say that these headlights are dimmer than the stock lights that were 36 years old. I don't even pass people at night. I use the cars headlights infront of me to see. The product is cheaply made. I went to plug it in and the bulb popped out into the glass part. Get em if you're on a budget like I was, but pray before you drive. Hopefully you don't live in the country side because you won't see shi* To get my driver's side to work, I have to punch it, literally. ... show more
