I purchased the Carina C1 battery system for my Meta Wayfarers to extend battery life. I was only expecting a small improvement, maybe an extra couple of hours at best. I was genuinely surprised by the results. With the C1 installed, my glasses now last all day on a single charge. This alone has made them much more practical for daily use. The included magnetic charging cable is also a nice feature, allowing you to connect to any standard USB power source if the battery runs low. I’ve tried other battery solutions for Meta glasses before, and most were bulky, uncomfortable, and inconvenient to attach or remove. Because of that, I didn’t have high expectations going into this. However, the Carina C1 is extremely low profile. Once installed, you can barely tell anything is attached to the glasses. It doesn’t interfere with comfort or appearance and feels like part of the original design. Battery swapping is very simple—just pull the battery off and snap a charged one on. It only takes a few seconds. The only minor drawback is that if you have longer hair, you may need to remove the glasses to swap batteries more comfortably. Overall, this product has exceeded all my expectations. It is the best battery solution I have used for Meta Wayfarers and delivers exactly what it promises. If you use your glasses regularly, this is a highly recommended upgrade. ⸻ Pros • Extends Meta Wayfarers battery life to a full day (in my experience) • Slim, low-profile design that is barely noticeable • Easy magnetic connection and USB charging support • Fast and simple battery swapping • Much more comfortable than bulkier alternatives Cons (only one I found in my situation). • May require removing glasses to swap batteries if you have longer hair

These worked great the first day. They stayed charging without issue however after the copper coating wore off they stopped holding a charge. They will stop charging after a few seconds and you have to press down on the conectors to reconnect or just hope it does. Today one of the prongs fell out. My guess is from all the squeezing the get them to connect to the glasses made it pop out. The issue with lack of charging is from the loss of physical connection. It seems that once the copper coating wears off the problems start. This happened within one week of using. They are sending a replacement so maybe my review will change but I doubt it. You can see in the photos how the coating has worn off

Must have if you own rayban meta. Initially I had an issue with product, it was not charging. Contacted seller, within a timely manner I got responses and resolutions to my issue. This product is durable and very, very simple to use. Must MUST have if you own meta glasses, the back up batteries keep me going all day, from 5am to 7pm I can use my glasses for all my needs, music, information, phone calls, messages and more. I wish I had bout this sooner, but I own it now and use every day. The others are heavy and very cumbersome. This product is light weight, making it comfortable. The value i got is much more now with all day battery. Love it, must have...get it!!!

The first set I got the wire came off during installation. Was sent a replacement, I thought these were great for about two weeks when the glue started to come undone holding the connector in at the bridge. I think this is a brilliant idea but unfortunately it's not there yet.

Update on March 23, 2026. They sent a newer version of the portions on the glasses themselves. There were no issues with the battery packs themselves. First, they have improved the portion on the nose bridge. It is a bit rubbery and the metal contacts no longer make contact with skin. No more shocky! Second, I believe they may have adjusted the glue used to attach it to the glasses. I'm leaving this a 4 star instead of 5 until I can properly judge the longevity. I can say the changes are really good, and I can again recommend this item for Meta Rayban charging needs. Update on March 17, 2026: The company support reached out to me directly and have been excellent to work with. They claim adjustments have been made to the product and have asked me to try it again. I upgraded them from 1 to 2 stars for quality support, and will update this review again once I try the newer revision. I thought this was the one, the perfect no charger. The glue is essentially rubber cement and temporary. The part that connects at the bridge with spring/pogo pins to the charging contacts became too lose to maintain connection or actually charge the glasses. Too bad, because when it worked, it was great. It’s too expensive to essentially be disposable, and I wish I could get a refund for what turned out to be crap. Original review below: I'm going to start by saying that this is the charger I've been looking for. It stays on the glasses and blends in nearly completely. I would have paid any price for these features. It looks fantastic and nobody will really know its there. Installation was easy, just take your time because you really only get 1 chance. I have a little concern over durability, especially when it comes to oily or sweaty skin. I've been using it for about a month without issue. Except for one MAJOR issue at the bottom. The little batteries don't hold a full glasses charge on their own, but switching batteries and using the charging case get me through the entire day easily. The glasses still fit in the charging case and charge, but you will notice they don't click in as well as without. Still, it is completely usable. Now, the MAJOR issue. For the first several days, I thought the charging contacts in the bridge were scratch and uncomfortable. I ordered a replacement thinking it was a defective unit. It wasn't defective, but it is flawed. If the bridge rests fully on your nose, you'll shock yourself with the battery attached. It felt like scratchy plastic so it took me a while to figure out that it only "hurt" when the battery was attached. I ordered some pads for the bridge area to lift it a bit off my nose (0.6mm and 1.0mm both worked fine for me). This returned this to the best charger ever.
