I'm glad I ordered the medium, because the small would not have been roomy enough for layering. The material is decent. The hood is a little bulky and doesn't want to flatten very well when you are not using it. I have washed it twice, but do not dry it. It washed up pretty well, but I had to use a lint roller after the first wash to get some fuzzies off. I washed it inside out. The second wash wasn't as bad. This hoodie is great. It does all that it says it does. My only gripe is that it was ordered as a Christmas gift and arrived in a clear plastic bag with a shipping label on it. I recently ordered the Earthen Clay Heather, and it was due to arrive Dec 28. It came today, and I was so excited, as I have another of these hoodies in orange. Unless I was sent the wrong color, I got the same color hoodie that I already have (probably the Dusty Orange Heather). So even though the Earthen Clay Heather looks red in the pic, it is not.
