I got this for my husband for Xmas. I love the new more stylish colors and better style. Carhartt is getting more modern in their clothing which I like. It has stretch and makes it more comfy to move in. Esp if he goes fishing it has the flex to really help!

The most important things to know here are that this is a thicker, sturdier, and more waterproof jacket than the others that carry the Carhartt brand. It isn't cheap, but its also not super expensive. Its a good value if you consider how many colors and sizes you can choose from. You may be disappointed that there is no actual lining. I find it's super comfy only if I'm wearing long sleeves, but its also cut to be comfortable under long sleeves. There is no storm flap over the main zipper, but there seems to be enough structure behind it that this isn't a problem. Breathability isn't bad and the wind and water repellency of the shell is excellent. The hood is a bit oversized and droops over my eyes unless I wear a hat under it. Then it's perfect. I guess that's the bottom line. It is a stylish but functional piece of kit provided you don't have to wear it against your skin on a hot day. The best use is probably if you are already wearing several layers of clothing and you need a waterproof shell over that that is still breathable enough you don't have to take it off every time you go into a heated room or car. We'll see if its as durable and waterproof after a couple of years, but the sturdiness of the shell and especially of the waterproof laminate layer bodes very well. It's not going to develop holes or stretches seems unless you really work at it. ... show more

I absolutely love this rain jacket! I work outdoors some, which means, sometimes I have to work in the rain. This jacket is a life saver! It's everything it says it is. It's light weight, repels rain & wind, and keeps me dry when I'm working in Mother Nature's elements. It's a quality made jacket, that should last me the rest of my life. NOTE : I did have to size up one size larger for a comfortable fit. I wear a 2XL in all my shirts/hoodies/jackets.....the 2XL in this rain jacket was too tight and restrictive for me.
