  • Great combo of warmth and comfort; sizes run large...
Size: X-Large Tall Color: Black
My dad has one of these that I bogart every time I visit my folks to help with an outdoor project and I love it, so I figured it was time for me to get my own. • It's heavy enough to keep me warm (but not too warm) and it's light enough to move around in. • It's super comfortable. I normally wear a 2XL but after reading the reviews that say that these run large for their size I got an XLT, and it fits me perfectly (I'm 250lbs, 6'2" for reference). • There are a lot of pockets for me to hide things from myself. • The lining is very comfortable. Ordering a "used, mint" (which I had never seen before) jacket saved literally 50%, and I cannot tell the difference between the used and new, so if you're as cheap as I am and see a "used, mint" or "used, like new" jacket available then jump on it. I totally recommend this if you're looking for a high-quality jacket ... show more

  • durable quality and makes a good gift
Size: Large Tall Color: Carhartt Brown
My 6'3" tall husband needed a new winter weight coat. This large tall size fit him well and I appreciate the two interior pockets. One is secured with Velcro patch in the middle and the other has a nice zipper across the whole top. It is a canvas coat, so the material is kind of firm to begin with, but that speaks to quality and craftmanship. The zipper is fully metal and the overall features are what I expect in a Carhartt coat. I still have my green one from high school! ... show more

  • Best Jacket for the Price
Size: Large Color: Carhartt Brown
I bought the same jacket in black 5 years ago and it’s hands down the most warm and durable coat I’ve ever owned. I also get compliments on it still to this day even though it’s visibly frayed and faded from the elements. There is absolutely nothing wrong with my old black jacket and still my go to jacket when it’s cold outside because it’s so warm and comfortable. I just like it so much I wanted another one in a different color so I got the brown one this time. These run big, designed for layering underneath comfortably. Such a stiff fabric but it softens as you wear it and wash it. Thick cotton shell that won’t tear when hopping barbed wire fence or rubbing against sharp rebar. Doesn’t matter if you’re doing construction work, camping, or a professional burglar, this jacket will serve and protect you. It’s like walking around in a sleeping bag with sleeves. I did not need another Carhartt jacket but just in case I lose my old one I have a back up jacket ready for action. Buy it now and you will not be disappointed in this investment. It may be the perfect jacket, especially for the winter months. ... show more

  • Carhartt for the win!
Size: Small Color: Black
This is an amazing jacket. I needed a nice, heavy winter jacket for the cold and windy coastal Santa Cruz weather after moving to college, so I wanted something that would keep me warm but also look cute. This jacket is exactly what I wanted. I get compliments almost every time I wear it and now all my friends want one! Pricing: I don’t usually spend more than $30 on clothing, but I really wanted this jacket, so I decided to splurge a little. Plus, Carhartt is a reliable brand, so I know it will last me a very long time. I looked into a few other brands (Dickies, Patagonia, etc.), but I felt that Carhartt was a better fit for what I was looking for. I considered getting a jacket from Dickies ($139.99) that was close to identical, but I decided to go with Carhartt ($109) because not only was it more cost-efficient, but it seemed warmer and more stylish as well. Pros: The jacket is nice and warm without being too heavy and goes with almost any outfit. I also love that Carhartt tends to look even better with a little wear and tear over time, unlike some other brands. This way I don’t have to treat it like a new pair of white shoes and be worried about getting a little scuff or dirt on it. It is extremely durable, so if that’s what you’re looking for, look no further! Potential Cons: You should be aware that when you first get the jacket it may feel bulky and tough, but it is easy to break in. I washed it a couple of times according to the instructions on the tag and it is much better now. It was a bit big on me (as I was expecting), so I threw it in the dryer after I washed it and it did shrink a little bit, but definitely not too much. For reference, I am 5’2 and 110 lbs and I got the mens small. It is still a little big on me even after shrinking it, but that’s exactly what I was aiming for. The zipper can be a little sticky at times, but it hasn’t been a big issue for me so far. One thing you should know is that it is not waterproof or water-resistant. I wore it in the rain once and the water soaked right through the outer shell. Still not a problem for me though! Just thought I’d mention it. Overall: Overall it's an amazing jacket and is one of my favorite clothing items that I own. I don’t know how I went all this time without it! High quality, plenty of pockets, comfy, warm and stylish. I definitely recommend getting this jacket! ... show more

  • Great coat. Zipper very stubborn.
Size: X-Large Big Tall Color: Dark Navy
Typical Carhartt super high quality clothing. Warm and comfortable heavy fabric. The heavy duty brass zipper will take a bunch of use to become easier to zip up though. Very fast shipping!

  • Finally - a warm winter coat/jacket for a real man
Size: 4X-Large Tall Color: Black
FINALLY! You have no idea how many hours I spent searching the internet for a coat for my son. He's 6'5" and weighs 380. Most coats that fit a tall man and one who is larger than most are either non-existent or they are so expensive that I could never afford one. I had placed an order for this coat with another vendor on Amazon (Bare Bones - Don't EVER order from these people!!!) I placed it on December 13th and paid for priority shipping. When the coat had not been delivered to my son by December 18th (which was the estimated date of delivery) I started what turned out to be quite a few emails back and forth from that vendor. Then - 2 days before Christmas I received a telephone call telling me they didn't have the coat in stock and it would be December 31st before they "might" get more. I was upset - to say the least. Then - on December 24th Bare Bones sent me an email saying they didn't have the coat and didn't know when they would get more and they were canceling my order. So - my son didn't get his main Christmas present before Christmas. However, I went back onto Amazon.Com and found this coat through Amazon. I KNEW AMAZON was reliable and would deliver because they've NEVER let me down. And they didn't this time. I ordered the coat and the very next day it was delivered to my son. Amazon was out of the coats in my son's size (4XT) when I placed the order on December 13th or I would have ordered it from them to begin with. My son opened the coat up and was really excited because he had no winter coat and the temperatures in the Atlanta area plummeted to 6F this week. He LOVES this coat. I paid $80 for it which was $39 less than Bare Bones listed for it. It was much much less than many other web sites that carried the coat. It is super warm. It is so well made that I believe this might be the best coat I've ever bought my son. He said "Mom, this is such a nice coat and it's warm and it is so well made." I want to thank Amazon for doing such a great job of getting the coat to my son less than 24 hours after I placed the order. And NO! This isn't a misprint!!! I placed the order about 3:00 p.m. on Thursday and my son had the coat in his hands at 1:40 p.m. Friday!!!!!!!! It came from Kentucky (during snow storm) to Atlanta that fast. Thank you Amazon. ... show more
